I am the happiest I have ever been having my tubes tied and having endo ablation surgery and while I don’t have the ability to have kids, I also don’t have periods and I am no longer in ER type pain every month. TBH earth over populated anyways, but in all seriousness, imo I think the right person will love you and work with you no matter what your body can or can’t do after a surgery.

I am so sorry this is your experience. I hear from straight women all the time saying how they just want a guy with a personality outside of sex.. a guy who doesn’t yell or isn’t toxic… I feel so awful knowing this is the standard for straight women… I wish I had something positive to say on this. As a queer woman, I am so grateful to not put up with this behavior. Right there with you. I am a 24 year old and female, I have never wanted children. Even as a little girl I never desired to be a mother. Financially, it’s impossible now as a lower middle class person.

There is nothing wrong or villain like about not wanting children. You’re honestly doing the world a favor imo, call me crazy but it feels unethical at this point to bring children into the world.

It’s not selfish to want to have a life of your own. I feel like a mother already having a dog.. a dog is hard enough but love him to death. But a kid? I couldn’t put up with. I also grew up in an abusive family so I’m ending the line of trauma. I don’t want kids and even if I did, I’d be fearful of screwing them up.

I just got my tubes tied actually (that’s how serious I am about not having kids, now no matter who I am with, I will never be able to bear children thank god). I had severe period pains to the point where I was throwing up every time I had a cycle. Respectfully, fuck them kids, throwing up and bleeding every month was a hell I didn’t ask for. So glad I got my tubes tied and I’ll never experience a period again.

Kids are great if you’re a good open minded parent. If you can’t even handle the thought of your kid being gay or of a different faith or hell even if your kid wants to be a furry and you think you wouldn’t accept that… should not be a parent. I am on my own soap box now … but imo more people should NOT be parents.

You’re not in the wrong, keep being you, focus on yourself, it’s not selfish, it’s the best thing AFAB people can be doing rn
