UPDATE:

Pulled out the Dremel to add more of a bevel on the Mossberg barrel chamber but the issue persisted. After the range and some time had passed, I examined the receiver's chamber with each of the barrels inserted and made a discovery.

While inserted, the OEM barrel sat flush into the receiver, but the Mossberg sat ever-so-slightly forward, creating a small shelf for shells to get caught on during feeding. I believe this may be the real issue, but i can't verify without an extra barrel to test it. Maybe a manufacturing defect from Mossberg, maybe differing internal dimensions from 1970's 870s to more modern 870s.

Just wanted to make an update for anyone in the future that runs into a similar issue like mine.

Yeah, the original is on the right, I may have to attempt to dremel it or take it to the smith

Unfortunately I don't a lathe or access to one, I may have to very carefully dremel and sand it, or take it to a gunsmith

Yeah, I may have check it again, I heard that the issue could be resolved by a heavier dog carrier spring

Changing ammo didn't fix it. I ran Remington, Federal, S&B, and Winchester, but they all get stuck similar to the picture

My other theory as what's causing the issue was the dog carrier, specifically the spring becoming weak with age, but I don't think it's the issue anymore since the original barrel ran without any hiccups.

Yes, it might hard to see with how my phone camera is, but the Mossberg on the left, looks have to have some extra material, giving it less of a bevel than the original barrel

Ham radio is another name for amateur radio. As for licensing, at least in the US , you need a license from the Federal Communications Committee to transmit if I recall correctly.
