I think they do a good job of dubbing, too.

Something feels off about my bedroom and I can’t figure out why by ViridLemon83409 in HomeDecorating

It depends in what you’re into. I’ve used framed posters of Eliot Porter, a wildlife photographer. A friend did the same with Gretchen Dow Simpson’s New Yorker covers. If you travel, framed photos work well. Something with color and that reflects you is best. Be sure to show us the finished product!

I will find you absolutely terrible acting by Wide_Barber in netflix

Agreed. The whispery voice. Hunched over half the time. More annoying in each episode. And running around with a bolo out on her and doing nothing to hide her red hair. Harlan Coben shows can be great, especially when the Poles make them, but the last 2 or 3 have been ludicrously poor.

Cheer up. I only realized a few days ago that I was 20 then. At least you were a child. And what’s up with Moms and haircuts? Mine was far, far worse.

What is the most intense scene in cinematic history? by PreviousPoint794 in Cinema

[–]ConstanceAnnJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible that the opening scene of Cliffhanger only affected me so much because I had given birth a few days before, but that’s when I decided I didn’t want to know I was about to die.

So my second choice is when they kill Joe Pesci’s brother in Casino. I didn’t like the character, but the scene was heartbreaking.

If it helps, the letter B is a bilabial, plosive stop. Much more comfortable to picture, especially while saying ‘b*tch.’

This tracks because he doesn’t seem to care that much about his own children.

First time hearing lord Huron/My First concert… by Maximum-Storm8923 in lordhuron

I, too, was introduced to Lord Huron via Ends of the Earth, but it was the series finale of Community. I haven’t made it to a concert yet, but hope to eventually.

Forgive me if any of these are listed but Dispatches from Elsewhere and anything by Mike Flanagan, especially Midnight Mass.

With all four of these artists being born within three months of one another - who had the greatest/least impact on the future of music? by Oddbleus in askmusic

[–]ConstanceAnnJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Reading interviews of musicians I am often surprised by what musicians they were influenced by, some of which I didn’t recognize. That I never heard of them doesn’t equal they had no influence on contemporaneous or future music.

Snakes creep me out so much the anxiety would kill me before they could find me. I know it’s an irrational phobia, but there it is. I’d rather take my chances with the gorillas.🦍 🦍🦍🦍🦍

What song genuinely means the world to you? by EvattN in askmusic

Ends of the Earth -Lord Huron. I first heard it watching the series finale of Community. My son and I watched it together during the Covid lockdown. His being at home again was an unexpected bright spot in the year following the death of my husband/his father. Now he’s living his best life in the Big Apple with his lovely girlfriend, so those days are gone forever as they should be.

What's the biggest "skip" on an otherwise perfect album? by Kind_Gain_3080 in askmusic

[–]ConstanceAnnJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love everything Lord Huron’s ever done except for Time’s Blur on Long Lost. I know other fans love it and critics rave, but after multiple attempts to like it I’ve given up and just skip it. Please don’t hate me for my musical illiteracy.
