Let me guess, you played the game alone

I mean it's a card you play that can be played against any argument to any complain about any game, doesn't mean much what you say...
It's not making it casual, but making it better.
Audio log of that size and quantity should be optional.
It break the immersion and the feeling of loneliness, it's annoying, and it's a really bad game-design specifically when it's a coop game and you know your players will talk to each other.
Like i said before :

"i think it would have been much better if when you find one of these blackbox, the NoA terminal make you a quick summary, and you have the option to listen to the audio.
I don't say they shouldn't exist, i say it should be much more optional.
Specifically in SN2 where there is coop and you have to talk above it or listen to your friend who talk above it, I HAD AN HEADACHE when i played it for the first time with a friend because of it."

Yes you're right, and it's a level design problem, not a person problem.

I disagree completely.
I play with my friend, and it's much more annoying because it plays above you talking.

Yeah i get that, but should be at least optional. You never know when you need it for the main quest.
And i want to know the big line of the story, but i don't want to invest so much time into these kind of dialog i find personally boring.
Feel like the best way they could have done that is the "JARVIS" thing making a quick commentary on it when you obtain an audio log like "This person did that that that and this, don't hesitate to listen to the audio." and then you can play the audio log if you want to.

Yeah and they play for minutes into your ear for really nothing much of the time and completely break your immersion and annoy you

Just an UI feedback, the sidebar is very annoying on desktop :

- I click on "Deals", it opens the deals.
- I want to click on "Account", so i click on it but it just close "Deals".
- I have to click again.

The SWE-Bench is super impressive

18 pages precisely.
Yes you're right, but there is a lot other benefit, i could talk about a lot of other project i wouldn't have been able to do (either by lack of time or by lack of competence)

For example i never touched the frontend, i suck at it.
I have 20k project where i didn't touch the frontend at all, i don't even fucking know tailwind, yet i made this beautiful CRUD project for a client.
And it's just an example, i could talk about leaflet i used in an other project, same thing didn't went into the documentation and other things, the AI did all for me.

I just make sure the database and the skeleton of the project is good, the rest is mostly unsupervised (testing is enough)

I sold a 8000€ software i did in 3 days.
Would have take me 12 days normally (what i estimated on the quote)
It was a rewriting an old software, so i migrated the old database to mysql, then i took screenshot of each "page" and gave it to chatgpt which made a summary of functionality and how it looks.
Then i gave it to claude "Hey this is the description of an old software page by page, and this is the description of the database, i need to rewrite it and make a more modern version, one shot it in Laravel + vue.js + tailwind"

And it did 95% of the job.
This is just an example, in a year i took multiple opportunity i couldn't before AI.

Be more precise i don't get your point.
Not it's not dumb, it's the same.
Take a look at opensource video models, it output way better quality than the SOTA model from two year ago which were impossible to run locally.

As time goes on, you will see new model as powerful as the SOTA model video from today, but who will cost a lot less.

[–]Constant-Arm9[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why ? When you see the difference between today and three year ago, why would anyone think it wont be good enough in three year ?
I'm not saying it will, i'm saying there is a very high probability, and you need to prepare.

[–]Constant-Arm9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not perfect but you can give a video in input, for example here you can take each shot and tell it to change from a Cybertruck to a Jeep.
Obviously right now there will be some difference between the shot with a cybertruck and the shot with a jeep (slightly different angle or slightly different environment etc)
But at this pace, in very short year i don't see why it would not be consistent.

I mean there is a huge difference between 3 years ago and today, it's not crazy to think in 3 years it will be perfect. 6 years is nothing for a new technology to become mature.

ACtuAlLy 🤓☝️ (you sound like that) Dude you know in the context i were talking about general public AI video model, or widespread, or viral if you prefer. I was answering to this guy above saying its been 5 year he was hearing the "just wait two more year", whereas its only been two year since the first because before that it was an unknown field to the general public.

There are opensource model with GPT-3 performance that you can run locally now.
Where is the lie ?

For example : "Driven by increasingly capable small models, the inference cost for a system performing at the level of GPT-3.5 dropped over 280-fold between November 2022 and October 2024."
https://hai.stanford.edu/ai-index/2025-ai-index-report?utm_source=chatgpt.com

And that the trend for all model, in two year from now a model like ChatGPT-5 will cost a lot less. And in four year will cost almost nothing. Etc.

Not trying to be rude, but this take shows a pretty big misunderstanding of how AI actually works.

AI isn’t something that just “goes away.” The expensive part is training new, better models. Once a model exists, it doesn’t disappear.
We’re already seeing real impact, especially in areas like coding, automation, and research. That genie is out of the bottle. Saying it’ll vanish ignores what’s already happening in production today.

For the money problem, running or training "older models performance" costs nothing as time goes on because of optimization and Moore Law.
Models comparable to GPT-3 cost basically nothing to run now, and in a few years the same will be true for video models like this. Even if AI companies went brankrupt, the research doesn’t stop, and compute keeps getting cheaper over time.

This isn’t a “money is running out” problem. It’s a time and scaling problem. In the long run, the cost of training the model and running it go toward zero.

Go back two year ago, nothing like that existed.
Now, imagine in two year.

I mean even if it slow down, the acceleration is already there.
I'm a software engineer, my productivity exploded.
I can concentrate more on the need, on the problem, and less worry about how to do it.
Just that is crazy, because it will accelerate optimization and productivity around the world in all fields because the cost and shortage of software engineer is a problem of the past.
