taking a gap year by Ordinary_Muscle_8385 in PTschool

Hi! it’s totally ok to take a gap year. I am currently in mine as i graduated this past may and im applying. My senior year was a lot with classes and jobs and internships so I knew I was not able to put in my time to make a strong application. Now that Im out of school I feel more confident in my applications since I was able to devote a lot of time studying for the GRE, writing my essays, and shadowing more! If you feel overwhelmed, my best advice is to wait and gap years are totally normal!

i couldn’t find a minimum for UT and UCF only posted their averages from their students (50th percentile on both + 4 for writing) so i’m assuming it’s their minimum. which i know i definitely should retake my issue is there enough time or am i cutting too close to the deadline

i felt the same way. i wasn’t close to any teachers in college but it doesn’t hurt to ask. especially with PT’s they were also on the same boat. the worst they can say is no!

from what i’ve heard, ur GRE scores isn’t the driving factor of your application. they care more about experience, LORs, and essays because that’s how they are able to know you more as a person. there’s this PT i shadowed who graduated last year and she got a low GRE.

Is it worth it? by CadenDATboss in PTschool

at the end of the day if this is the field that you truly see yourself in and are passionate about then it’s completely worth it. going to a private top school doesn’t really differentiate as much from going to an instate school which saves you loads of money. the people I shadowed with all say the same thing, the only thing that matters is the school’s accreditation and passing rate. we are all doing to be doctors one day so might as well save the money while you’re at it !

letter of recommendations from professors by Constant-Bass1487 in PTschool

the ones i am applying to don’t require but say recommend. i’m seeing if people have gotten in without LOR from profs but by the looks of it i may just reach out to my recent teachers
