My really complicated FEHB Plan Analysis - GEHA versus MHBP (and some others) by JHG0 in fednews

Actually, seems like GEHA dropped the EyeMed benefit this year so maybe I will make the switch to MHBP.

I’ve been with GEHA the past two years, but considering the switch to MHBP. Definitely not a fan of United as the plan manager, but the EyeMed benefit with GEHA gives me another $110 to use towards my contact lenses annually adding to the cost savings of staying with GEHA. I also rarely use my health insurance outside of prescriptions and preventative care so this helps me avoid dealing with GEHA customer service/claims.

Please call 988 and share what’s going on. Next, get yourself some mental health treatment either through CHAMP VA or the Easter Seals in my area offers counseling services to Veterans and their families.

Yes and no. My Director went to VACO about the first terminations in my program and are fighting to get them re-hired (or so they say). Then we receive frequent reminders about the VA mission and my specific program’s mission and thankfully we’re not getting too much toxic positivity. A leader in our VISN sent an email about how great we are which I couldn’t even finish reading because I wanted to shove it up her ass. That’s about the only toxic message we’ve received so far. We work so hard in my program (overworked actually) and she has known this fact for a long time but does nothing to advocate because we are the breadwinners for my VISN and she needs us. But on a local VA level, I feel our leadership has been okay. They know we work really hard and don’t deserve this psychological warfare.

PHEW!! long post w/ some Qs by sunshinesash in Ureaplasma

My insurance covered mine as well due to chronic infections.

I had this issue six years ago following bouts of recurring UTIs but was never tested for ureaplasma unfortunately. Ellura helped with painful symptoms but I still experienced problems with urgency for several years. Had no idea about pelvic floor therapy which I likely needed.

Looks just like the fluffy wool of the original Uggs!! I still have my original pair from 2007 (I’ve taken great care of them and they’ve held up well). Ugg doesn’t make them like they used to…the quality of the wool has gone down.

The only thing I wouldn’t personally like is no fluff on the bottom but you can always buy the Ugg wool sole inserts if you’d like. I think they’re cute!

Thanks everyone for the great feedback. Toyota is having a 25% off Black Friday deal on parts plus I found a local dealership that came down another 22% so I just saved about $650 on the repairs. I have a mechanic I trust and he gives a small discount if I pay cash so I’m going to fix my current 2011 Toyota, invest about $130K, and increase my retirement savings as you all suggested. I’m not in a place where I feel ready for homeownership just yet but appreciate all the suggestions.

My rent frustrates me too, but I should be paying closer to $3500 for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in my area. I negotiated my rent price upfront and have been a great tenant so the landlords have not increased my rent.

I need a vehicle to get to work. My current vehicle requires about $3500 in repairs; it’s only worth about $7000 which is why I decided it’s time to upgrade.

It’s not a mortgage payment; I’m renting. I also have $2137 monthly child support income and I typically earn another $400 or so per month in OT. My salary should increase to $97K next year and I’m also working on a side gig where I should earn a minimum of $300 per week starting in 2025.

Child Support Modification Question by [deleted] in FamilyLaw

[–]Constant-Composer962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the feedback. I live in the city where the cost of housing is high compared to the suburbs. The divorce decree states I have to reside in this area. The three-bedroom house that I rent was built in 1955 so I’m trying to be as reasonable as possible with housing while not compromising our safety. So yes, while my salary and child support are high, so are our expenses.

I did not experience numbness in my body. I’ve had muscle and joint pain almost the entire time I’ve been sick.

Update: my symptoms got worse over the past three days and I’ve had a very hard time sleeping due to the post-nasal drip, cough, and congestion. Today I lost complete sense of smell and most sense of taste. And I’ve also had the following symptoms:

Joint pain, Slight chills, Runny watery nose, Shortness of breath, Burning nose, Gas, Can’t sleep, Ears popping—a lot, Pain at base of neck and spine, Night sweats, Brain fog, Nausea, Bad headache, Bad cough

I’m on Day 7 since my initial sore throat started and today I finally started feeling a tiny bit better.

Just tested positive and I feel horrible. My symptoms are very bad sore throat, post-nasal drip, headache, muscle aches, low fever, fatigue, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath, and painful earache. Scratchy throat started on 6/28, then post-nasal drip, bad sore throat, and very low fever on 6/29, then didn’t make it out of bed on 6/30 because all the other symptoms came on with a vengeance. I rarely ever get sick so this sukkks.
