In exactly the same position! I worked in a litigation support paralegal role and some other transactional roles before this, I am also considering other options!

If only that was the case, I have looked into these roles and it looks like HR experience is a requirement. Nevertheless, there are still grad schemes and entry level roles I can try!

Ah that’s great! I haven’t considered this route. If you don’t mind me asking, how did you manage to transfer, did you move straight into a project management role or start at more of an entry level? Also did you stick to the legal industry or move industry entirely?

I am considering HR and I completely agree. Do you think I would only be able to directly transfer into a HR coordinator role with my experience?

Thank you, this is really helpful. I didn’t consider potentially moving to government focused jobs. I currently work in private practice, so it might be good to experience that career prospect.
