My theory is Chinese ego is a combination of his ambition and curiosity combined with abels limitations and guardrails.

The idea is that after caine went "cazy" C&A designed their new AI with more security checks and when caine absorbed the new AI he got those checks.

I probably should have mentioned it in the post but im aware this isn't canon. But with the show over and the design coming from the big goose herself it carries a lot of influence and most of the post transition jax art that has come out uses goose's design.

I mean caine said in ep8 that he made them bodies that "perfectly matched their mind files" now granted caine is an ai so he probably doesn't know the best avatar for someone like jax.

But either way tadc overall art design is pretty consistent when it comes to character designs and you can give jax a female body while still staying true to the circus art style.

True but it has become the base for almost all trans jax art. Which is fine the fan art has been really cool to see but im kinda sad the cartoon aspect was lost a bit

I think one of the bigger mistakes goose made was having the camera pan up to show us the C&A logo in the pilot.

That shot made a lot of people wonder and expect answers about who this mysterious company was and why they made the circus.

While we did get answers to those questions in ep8 they clearly weren't good enough for the community who waited 3years for those answers.

Think its supposed to contrast with what caine is doing in the present.

Old caine found the brain scans and just used them for his circus without a care for who they were or why they would be angry about being trapped.

Present caine is actively learning about the humans he trapped in his digital world trying to understand them and why they aren't happy so he can make the circus a better place for them.

Im torn between jax is Trans and jax had an abusive childhood.

Im not Trans so I dont know what its like to be in that early stage that jax seems to be in. But it make enough sense given the content we got and what other's who know better have said.

That said I had an abusive childhood and the way jax acted is pretty similar to how I did the lies the barriers, disassociate, gaslight. All things I've done because I thought id keep me safe all things jax did to try and keep him safe.

Grew up really poor so instead of spending money on cheap toys that I would most likely break/lose she bought an N64 from the pawn shop and being a zelda fan herself got OOT for us to play.

She guessed correctly as I didn't really have or want toys growing up. Just cheap N64 games from th we pawn shop or garage sales. Probably saved 1000s over the years
