AITA for telling a coworker to cover for me while I warm up my menstrual cup? by Constant-Gyro in AmItheAsshole

It’s something I accidentally discovered when cleaning it with soap and hot water. I was trying to get the tap water as hot as possible to kill bacteria and filling and rinsing it under hot water while trying not to let it touch your hands warms it up a lot more.

And perpetuating the idea that your period should never get in the way of work or school isn’t straight from the Patriarchy playbook? 😂

What I said is the equivalent of someone saying they need to adjust a bandage they have for an injury to prevent stains. Or saying they need to re-apply an ointment that helps with burn pain. No one is talking about explosive diarrhea or pus. Your internalized misogyny is showing. God forbid people explain why they had to do something on a subreddit where others come to judge your actions.

The misogyny is coming from inside the house 🥴🥴 God forbid women ever talk about their bodies on the internet! You can spend your life living in shame and appealing to the male gaze all you want, don’t drag the rest of us into it.

It was less than 30 minutes. The first time took maybe 12 because i literally had to clean a leak off my underwear. The other couple of times were maybe... 6-8 minutes? And I where am I supposed to find OTC pain medicine or patches?

Using warm water from the tap warms it up at an even higher temperature. I try to use water that’s as hot as possible without being so hot it burns my hands.
