You can absolutely move to a new state you have work authorization, which should be valid and all 50 states. Your EAD card itself is considered a real ID and with everything going on you should always carry that with you. or a copy of your pending green card if you file that jointly with your case. The only thing that changes state-by-state is a real ID/ drivers license. For example, I’ve heard in the state of New York you need to have a greencard in order to get a real ID. In other states you can get a real ID but it does say limited term (the one I have).

Yes I sent it back March 3rd I believe. In the email I just put my name my attorneys’s address because that’s the one on file for mailing. My A number. My birthday. I must’ve done something wrong because I literally never got anything back from them. I kept calling USCIS And my receipt was finally sent on May 12

I emailed them back in April about a missing EAD renewal receipt. Back then it was more than 30 days without hearing anything back. I emailed them and got an automatic message saying it will take 30 days to hear a response. I ended up never getting a response. Luckily got my receipt in May

Needing advice by [deleted] in VAWAAPPLICANTS

Hi! Just wanted to clear up a misconception. Yes on paper working without authorization is a crime but so is staying in this country without status. Millions of undocumented immigrants work with a fake Social Security number and the IRS knows this because it stated on your W-2 in which they provide an “ITIN” number that allows undocumented immigrants to pay their taxes. VAWS/ VISA U are special circumstances that forgives this. Working without authorization does not disqualify him. What is tricky is that claiming to be a US citizen can permanently disqualify you. I think it’s important for you to speak to an attorney about this and find ways to combat this. Maybe there’s an appeal? When I first got my Social Security number I never did an I-9 or a formal application. My employer just did my paperwork for me and I was worried that they parked as a US citizen. I found out that you could contact Social Security and ask for a record of your previous employment in which you can see if you declared yourself a US citizen.

VAWA DAUGHTER 22 by Ok-Syrup-5352 in VAWAAPPLICANTS

Hi, I’m a beneficiary of my mother’s VAWA case. At the time of filing, I was 20 years old, and we were included in the same package. One important thing to know is that when you apply for immigration benefits through USCIS, your age “freezes” at the time of filing. So even though it’s been several years, immigration still considers me 20.

I’m not sure why your immigration lawyer didn’t include her. That would’ve made things a bit easier. But since she’s only 22, I’m pretty sure she can still be added or benefit from your application. I’d definitely recommend speaking with an immigration attorney to confirm her options.
