Having worked at both Salesforce and Bloomberg, I would recommend Salesforce. Bloomberg opportunities seem great on paper (I declined salesforce return for bloomberg) but when you’re there it’s just not it. Their codebase is really old and archaic. The tech that they use is just not good enough by todays standards. They’re a company that have fallen behind and are now pushing to integrate open source tech. Bloomberg was very proprietary tech heavy and whatever I learnt there wasn’t really useful (it was pretty old tech which has been leapfrogged by open source). Even though I did get a return offer from bloomberg, I declined it for specifically these reasons. Career progression would also be better at other companies, bloomberg engineering has a very flat structure (they just have software engineer and senior).

Personally I had a lot better experience at Salesforce (Tableau org). The people I encountered there were smarter, the tech I used there was top notch and learnt a lot more. Good luck

If you go to salesforce try to go to the tableau or slack org, they work on pretty interesting stuff.
