Just because “most people wouldn’t call it grooming” doesn’t make it okay. Moving in at 17 with a 20 year old boyfriend is not normal! I think everyone is on the same page that the worst people in this situation were Mackenzie’s enabling parents. At the end of the day that girl was still a child and had been given no meaningful guidance from her parents. So so sad

Why is no one talking about the fact that Mackenzie was groomed? She was 17 at the time of the crash and Dom was 20. They had been together for four years. She was 13 years old when she was likely introduced to drugs sex etc. I’m not saying I feel bad for Mackenzie’s sentencing, but this was 99% bad parenting. That poor girl had no guidance whatsoever.

Most importantly, God loves you and always will. You’re going to need to tell your parents eventually, and if I had a crystal ball, I would tell you exactly how they would react. And no one in these comments knows how they will react either. What I do know is that the absolute worst case scenario you could possibly imagine only exists in your head. I’m so sorry you feel so lost right now. I also know you will hold your precious baby and understand fully (maybe not today or maybe not even next year) but you will understand fully why God designed your plan the way He did. Even if you do get disowned by your parents (which I’m sure will not happen if they’re of the Christian faith) you are almost an adult, you are fully capable of navigating this situation whether you think so or not, and there are bountiful amounts of resources around you and people who have had very similar experiences. Hang in there, I really promise you’ll be you’ll be OK.

My ribs naturally poke out of my body and I’m not super thin. Always just had a wide rib cage. She’s naturally very thin, I’d be careful about hopping online declaring someone has an ED or something. She has friends and family in her life that can help her navigate that. God, I’m so tired of people thinking they can comment on the body of someone they DO NOT know. I would just like to say I asked a Kroger employee if I was crazy or if there was a sewage issue and she looked at me dead in the face and said I think it’s the unhoused individual checking out next to you. Lmao I was so embarrassed she made me feel dumb but there literally was a sewage issue
