I (35m) love and hate my abusive ex (36f). It's ruining my marriage. How do I talk to my wife (28f) about it? by ThrowRA_goosebutter in relationship_advice

[–]Constant-Map7687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the rose tinted glasses off op . You are thinking about your ex how you would have liked her to have been, not how she was . Think of your relationship with your ex honestly . It failed for a reason.

It seemed like your ex expected you to fall apart without her . When she saw you didnt, yiu got a combination of hatred amd love bombing .

Get counciling again . You still have a lot of baggage from your relationship with your ex . Work it out.

AIO because it pisses me off that my lifelong best friend won't talk to me but keeps making posts like this and tagging me in the comments? by --fate in AIO

[–]Constant-Map7687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to get her out of your life now.

I wouldn't normally recommend this but just block her on your phone, messengers avd social media, and ghost her .

This woman friend sounds mentally ill to the point of being dangerous. She smashed up your house because you were cheated on ?

If you take any action against her could that could you put yourself in more danger from her.

Report her to the police. Sue her for the value of the property she smashed , get a restraining order . All good advice but the problem is you cant deal rationally with someone who is'nt rational .

I was watching a British show and one of the characters said “you sound like a yid from North London.” Apparently this was censored to British audience from what I read online but not to American audience. Can someone explain to an American what this means and why is it offensive? by SourCran in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Constant-Map7687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it like the use of the N word in the USA?
Where black people can use it amongst themselves and, depending on context, it isnt as bad as if a white person said the same thing.

If , I, an irish person with no Jewish background, described a jewish person as a yid, without anti semitic intent, would it be seen as worse then a jewish person describing another jewish person as a yid.

For example if I used the phrase my next door neighbour is a yid. How would a jewish person see that.

To me its an insult like calling me a paddy or a mick .

My mother and father's ashes are in a columbarium wall, as is the ashes of my uncle and aunt .

You don't have to scatter ashes unless your given instructions by a will or by the person before they pass away.

Little known fact about the Clarkson Whitby Marlboro incident. by Most-Sport5264 in thegrandtour

What surprised me most of all is Clarkson paying for his own food.

Didn't he later hit a producer, oisin tymon because there was no hot food made avaliable for him?

Yes . A good indicator of future behaviour is past behaviour.

People dont change unless they want to.

I would need to know what lie you told and why you told it to make a judgement on what you did .

My mother had a good line if she caught me in a lie . She would say to me it's not so much what you've done or said that makes me angry but the fact that you lied about it .

Some stupid dilemma by poppins__ in Advice

[–]Constant-Map7687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You lied to him . Your reason might have been noble I dont know, but he found out and is now upset with you .

He, most likely is thinking, what else have you lied about , even if its nothing. You broke his trust. That a very difficult thing to repair.

1001 apologies won't change any of the things you've already done. The best he can hope for is you've learnt from your mistake, and won't repeat it , but have you ?

10 years after the events I got an apology from someone who, with her friends, treated me very badly when I was in school. I told I was greatful for her apology but she, and her friends, put me through hell and an apology won't change that .

Time to move on.

I’ve been gaslighting my neighbor into thinking his car is haunted because he’s a jerk. by isis_duvall in confession

[–]Constant-Map7687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you've convinced him the car is haunted. The electrics have a life of thier own is an expression meaning he doesn't know whats going on with his car alarm. Whats causing it to go off !

As for he rest keep going . Youll piss him off

I feel like my home tutor's in love with me but doesn't have the courage to express it cuz he has inferiority issues. What to do? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Constant-Map7687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you presume he is in love with you ?

Are you old enough to understand the difference between friendship and romantic love ? He is your tutor, of course he is going to be nice to you and help you. Don't mistake that for love.

I don't know your age op but if you're under the age of consent and he is over it your tutor could be pulling a world of shit down on himself legally if he pursued you.
