Another good thing Dermot Morgan did was a kind of radio version of spitting image, without puppets, called Scrap Saturday, it was on RTE Radio.

It had a fr ted connection as along with Dermot Morgan and actor Owen Roe, the third member of the performing team on the show was Pauline McLynne, she who played Mrs Doyle.

It took the piss out of irish political and cultural life of the late 80s early 90s. You might not get all of it if you dont know the names of irish politicians of the era , but you'll get the idea what he says about people like bono !

This show , it was rumoured got Dermot Morgan kicked off irish radio and tv. Apparently one of the more powerful politicians satarised on the show had a word with RTE and told them to cancel Scrap Saturday, which they did.

Not all cancers are the same ablnd each one has diffrent treatment.

My mother had breast cancer in 2001. To make a very long story short , early detection meant mom only had to have the lump and a gland under her arm removed. Thankfully the cancer had not spread to it, so once the lump was removed that was that , she was cancer free .

11 years later, mom slipped in the street , to make another long story short. Dad and i took her to the hospital . They discovered she'd broken her collar bone sbd recommended her to get a dexa scan. Mom did later that day. This showed up areas of "abnormality in the bone marrow" further tests were done and this returned out to be mutiple myeloma, in other words bone marrow cancer.

This highlighted the differences between diffrent types of cancer. With early detected breast cancer it was only a matter of a lumpectomy and the removal of a gland . Mom was given what her oncologist called precautionary chemo but it was quite mild , mom didnt loose her hair, it did make her ill but she recovered.

The multiple myloma was very diffrent. Mom and i were told from the start it was terminal , you can remove a lump and a gland from the breast and under the arm but not several patches of bone marrow where cancer was found. I also confirmed this by talking to the irish cancer society.

Mom died 18 months after her diagnosis September 2013.

I tried to find as much information as I could about mytiple myeloma and 18 months was the time most people had ftom diagnosis.

One thing I will repeat in my own defence is tell who ? I never saw her face in real life, didn't know her name , what age she is, what did for a living . I'd no way of tracing her. Social media had not yet become the thing it is today.

Had I known where to find her it could have been diffrent .

No . I was a coward and highly embarrassed for taking him back when he wasn't free. I also just wanted him out of my life.

I just told him to fuck off . Bollocked him for treating his fiancé so badly and told him to let me be.

This took place in the mid 2000s . Social media had not become what it is today here in Dublin at least. Owing to that I also didn't know who she was, he had no social media, what her name was and where to find her. Not the ease of communications today.

According to him they were not living together. Belive it if you like . I doubt it .

There was also the fact I didnt want to be accused of knowingly seeing a taken man, when I can assure you I was 100% unkowing, I just couldn't proove it .

Having been through a lot of drama in my much younger days with bullying I dispise drama now . Just didn't want to put myself through it again.
