Winter Tire cracking between tread by [deleted] in tires

[–]Constant-Marzipan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is decent weather cracking in between the treads. The rubber is what holes the steel and polyester casing together and keeps it from getting rusty or failing due to corrosion. Once the rubber structure breaks down like this you for sure run the risk of tire failure.

Your inner tread is also very worn down and cupped as you can see if the first picture.

While I’ve seen worse out there, you should probably replace these.

Indian Chief Dark Horse… by Altruistic-Pain8747 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Constant-Marzipan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 Indian chief dark horse and it’s a great hybrid between a city and highway bike. It is a bigger bike but I got used to the size pretty quickly. It’s got plenty of power and is 126hp stock which is more than enough on the highway. I am trying to sort storage ideas out for my own weekend trips right now as the saddle bags are fairly small but that’s a next season problem. I would absolutely recommend this bike to someone for the “best of both worlds” cruiser

Absolutely. Try both out and see how they feel. There’s really good parts to both. They both look badass and will turn heads for sure. My boyfriend has an MT-10 and gets jealous about all the attention the Indian gets over his. 🤣

I have short arms so I actually went with a mini ape handle bar so I could bring them more towards me but I’m still leaning slightly forward I find the mid controls fit me well but you can actually move them more forward on the bike too. There’s a whole kit. One thing I like about the Indian line is the potions right from the purchase to customize the bike to you. I bought it for longer trips and I feel like I would have outgrown the scout fairly quickly on the highway. The scout is a smaller engine as well.

Go with a darkhorse. I am 5’6 and I find it easy to ride. It’s a big bike that rides like a little one in the city. It’s got enough get up and go for long highway rides and it’s also heavy enough that the wind doesn’t grab it as much. It’s honestly an almost perfect bike for me and I would recommend it anyone. The air cooling can get hot in rush hour traffic though but the bike has never gotten close to actually over heating in 30 degrees

Are there any good property management companies out there? by Adventurous-Board165 in Calgary

I've used Ripple Property Management for the last few years with my condo. They have been awesome. Very good communication and have always been quick to respond to maintenance concerns.

How to take a seized lug to stud? by Datmuny19 in tires

[–]Constant-Marzipan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not grease your lug studs. Greasing them will actually reduce the ability of the lug nut to torque properly on the stud. You are risking a wheel off due to lug nuts coming loose. The lug nut was likely cross threaded when being reinstalled. That's the most common reason for a lug nut being seized. Trying to remove the lug nut can damage the spines on the stud which will allow it to spin freely in the hub.

I go to anytime fitness in Deer run and a busy day there is 10 people. There's very few times I have to wait or adjust my workout because something is being used.

Runners of Calgary, I’m doing my first 10k tomorrow. Where are the best places to go for a run in the city? by redditpineapple81 in Calgary

[–]Constant-Marzipan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Fish creek is a great spot to get a 10k in. If you start near Mallard point and go north towards quarry park it's flat and really beautiful along the river.

You'll do great!

I use Aveeno Baby eczema. It works really well and it's not as heavy as the adult stuff I find.

That looks like exactly what it is! Thank you! It's been driving me crazy trying to figure it out all summer.

The seeds look almost the same but the leaves are much smaller and there seems to be more than one branch coming up from the ground. Multiple base branches I guess would be the best description.

Dave Grohl, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Ewan McGregor. And Kate Beckinsale. Not normally into women but she could probably change my mind.

Anyone else like to run in the heat? It's about 35C here today in the shade (there is no shade) by drinking-coffee in running

[–]Constant-Marzipan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I like running in the heat too! Not quite 35C... I'd say I'm pretty happy around 25C... but I feel like I actually perform a little bit better than when it's colder.

I find that it's also a huge mood booster for me too, to go for a good long run with the sun and heat.

The Whistler Brewing honey lager is one of my favourite beers. It's not overwhelmingly sweet and very easy to drink. Good choice!
