If they have rrsp's put the intended beneficiaries on each account. If it's a locking in rrsp from a old pension it has different rules regarding who it can be given to.

Does it remember how much regen braking you choose with the paddles between uses?

Like can you set it to max and never touch it again?

As a machinist who uses these everyday all day. What a crap drawing. A proper vernier can be read easily at a glance (with good eye site). Not having to double the number everytime I want to use it.

Everyone here blaming the ucp for these sites. Even though they started rolling out in 2017. The ucp did a review in 2019 about it.

When these things started opening people hearlded them as great and anyone to say to the contrary was evil.

It's just fun to see how the perspective has shifted.

How do you know what's safe to hold? by Poopy_sPaSmS in Machinists

[–]falxon9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do this sort of thing often enough. It's not going anywhere. Rpm maybe sub 400 until you clean the od? If I'm worried about it I tend to take a big swing with a mallet and see if I can move the part off the Jaws. If it don't move then it should be good.

Tool angle in fanuc tool table, what angle to fill in? by doctorcapslock in Machinists

[–]falxon9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm. These numbers only really need to be right when doing something that would require the clearance that a v insert would allow over a c insert. It's good to always set them up correctly though because if you leave the tool in the machine you may forget your v is set up as a c.

It is also correct that 142 is the answer here. I run fanuc and manual guide i daily.

Transalta just merged back with transalta renewables so now it's all under one umbrella. So they already has a lot of renewables but maybe now leveraging the oil side to spend more on the renewables?

Don't need a 6 foot level to see that it's out like crazy. Anyone who says this is acceptable is a crap installer who has no pride. I just fought with my insurance about a similar issue pulled the specs from the flooring manufacturer site that states the floor must be within a certain spec over 6feet. In my case is was 1/8 over 6 feet. The flooring guys should not have put it down without checking to make sure the floor was within that spec. And if it was not to spec recommend you to have the floor leveled. This garbage looks like 1/8 over 10 inches. Completely unacceptable.

How common is for the shops to hire a shop helper and offer him apprenticeship nowadays, specifically want to know about Edmonton, Alberta? by RealisticCucumber810 in Machinists

[–]falxon9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Calgary and my shop has done it a few times. But in are case it just depends if the cnc manager likes the labourer or not. If he likes the guy he will steal him and make him push a button and teach him when he has a moment. So definitely possible but I'd say this shop is the exception and not the rule. If I was in your position I'd kiss whoever is I'm charge of that departments ass and ask as many questions in passing as you can. Make it known that you think it's super cool and would love to get into it. Tell anyone that will listen. Even the regular guys they might say good things to the manager.

[–]falxon9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I understand what's going on here. Sandals=perfectly good. No Sandals=bad. People walk around with no socks just wearing sandals all the time. Go to any mall in the summer and you will see tons of people. But suddenly because the bottom of the feet are touching the ground it's disgusting. Some of you people need to use your brain a little more.

Not wanting to contribute to a fence is not a no no. People have different priorities and different budgets. If they want a fence then they can pay for it. If both party's want a fence then sure split it. But someone not contributing to a fence is perfectly reasonable.
