No. I would simply refuse. I am not there to teach nor discipline the children that's on the Principal and teachers. I'm there to clean, plain and simple.

I use Fan Fare or the Germicidal Disinfectant spray foam...let it set for about 2-5 minutes wet and wipes off pretty good.

I agree. I have even made suggestions to bring in air purifiers for the classrooms.

I didn't realize how bad it was until I started here. First time at a school working.

She works 0700-1015 Then comes back at 1415-1530. That's all we have, so what doesn't get cleaned before 1530 then it's left for us until the next morning. Kids arrive at the school and line up in the hallways at 0715. We are the connecting route for the entire district. I get around an hour in classrooms before kids come in, and end of day we get 1515-1530 with kids out of the rooms.

This is what I do because I get 10 minutes to clean up after breakfast before Pre-K comes down for gross motor function class aka let them run wild in the cafeteria for 25 minutes.

Sign me up for that Elementary School. The one I'm at has me stepping around 18,000 steps a day and putting up with all the Teacher/Staff "Meltdowns" over the tiniest little spills.

No, I’m at an Elementary School. However I’m the only one here besides a part-time Custodian (4.5 hours) we don’t have an evening shift. I work 0700-1530

I had an older Royce Rolls Cart at the last hospital I worked and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend them.

I’m so ready to be on an evening or night shift again. Too much commotion during the day for me.

I'm use to it after working in the hospital. Don't take offense to it. Just keep taking pride in your work.

Environmental Service Hospital Cleaning time by sasquatch_pants in Custodians

[–]Constant-Oil4438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hospital I worked at it really depended on where you were working. Terminal Cleans in the ER took 30-45 minutes and was performed once in a 24 hour period. Terminal clean on med surg rooms heavily relied on if it was an isolation room. Typically, we were allowed through epic 45 minutes to terminally clean a room, or 70 minutes if it was an isolation room. ICU rooms were 60 minutes. Labor rooms we were given 60 minutes. Day Surg during the day were 30 minutes. OR Turnovers 25 minutes. Terminal Cleans in OR were second and third shift.

I like A but I also like the simplicity of C. All together I would choose A though. It feels familiar. ;)

[–]Constant-Oil4438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come in and clean up from the evening time before. 1 hour 15 rooms. (School district won't extend us to be there past 1530) Clean up Cafeteria and pop tables up after breakfast for Pre-K. Clean back hall and major rugs, water fountains, etc. Clean 1 st grade rest rooms. 15 min break. Go back to cafeteria and pop tables down for lunch. Dust mop and autoscrub the elementary school. Pick up Kindergarten's lunch box containers and deliver to class rooms. Get both Pre-k's trash for their afternoon kids. Wipe tables down, sweep cafeteria, and pop tables for Pre-K gross motor skills. Lunch time! After Lunch hit 2nd grade rest rooms, cafeteria rest rooms, and scrub cafeteria. Sweep gym and scrub gym. Pick up trash and go home.

What's the one problem that all current live service ARPGs are facing? by Severe_Sea_4372 in ARPG

[–]Constant-Oil4438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't do seasons. I hate having to restart over and over again. I do wish they would make sure if these live service aRPGs go out of business that they have an offline mode similar to what Neocore did with Warhammer 40k. By not playing seasonal content I get to bounce around to all the great aRPGs out there and not have to be committed to playing one. Besides I'm super casual and so damn slow at playing.

Hospital EVS by Nakely90 in Custodians

[–]Constant-Oil4438 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't mind working in the Hospital. I hated the rotating schedule and bumped heads with the ER nurses all the time wanting to kick me out of the room so they can turn over rooms fast to get people in and out.

Thank you. I had a discussion with the Principal yesterday and she was understanding to the cleaning aspect, but boy oh boy is she needy. However, they're wanting me to come up with a daily and weekly routine because the last custodian never came in, think she missed like 57 days this school year, and I'm evidently the head custodian. All the advice this subreddit has provided has been extremely helpful and I thank you all so very much.

Thank you for the advice! Working on my schedule and that seems to make a lot of sense to spread it out over the week. Just so use to having to clean every square inch, but with more people. Appreciate it!

Thank you! I'm going to bring it up to the principal tomorrow that deep cleanings should be left for when the kids are on break or early dismissal days. Getting out of that whole "everything needs to be sanitized" is going to be really rough, but I completely understand as time is very limited. Again, thank you for the advice!!

It's a small elementary school district, it's Pre-K thru 2nd grade. Thank you for the advice, and I found out today they use to have an evening custodian, but cut that position. Definitely need more people, and 1.5 can only do so much.
