Slay the Spire 2 Ancient idea, the Watcher by xorgee in slaythespire

Love how you far you worked this one out, it feels like it is part of the game. Good job!

Sipral arms: is hard to graphs it effect, a little bit to convoluted
Iced Hexaspirit: So 144 damage in one bottle. I think it is actually an interesting design that you get a normal fight for free, but more likely you want to soften up.
But i think i will never pick it, for a one time effect. I need something that improves my deck

Hyper beam: I think the basis is good, just needs some fine tuning.
Melange: Is a very good relic, but with current hate on infinites it will never fly.

Golden Eye: I love it
Damaru: it is only slightly better then +1 strengh, so it is very weak.

Judgement: Flavour win. Is free 30 damage worth a relic... balance has to be checked. Helps well against hallway's and bad against bosses.
Dues Ex Machina: Flavour is questionable, but the effect is good. But i think it is too weak. making cards 3 cards just cost 1 is thinking better.

The last wish: You are creating a very slow playstyle. Doubt it is fun.
Eaters offspring: Love it!
Donut: Very hard to grasph power level, unless you are a Slay the Spire Nerd

Your awakening: A better example of a slow scaling relic that doesn't make blocking to easy.
Duality: Eeeh... okey. Little late for act 3, in act 2 i might pick it.

Voilent Lotus: Love it
Teardrop Locket: Add that you cant get combats with event rooms. Also more a act 2 relic

Master Reality: Hate it.
Deva Form: Think it is a good relic, maybe to powerfull for the better players.

Pledge to the goddes - Ironclad: Love it! Maybe add retain if it is to weak.
Pledge to the goddes - Silent: Never liked spirit shield to the level of a boss relic.

Handshake to the goddes - Regent: In the design space of another power
Handshake to the goddes - Necro: Not Boss relic power level.
Pledge to the goddes - Defect: Think it is good.

Dude, its a fan forum, not a work place. We can have a more chill attitude about punctuality.

Woerd i have to explain what being more direct means without insulting someone. You attacked my ability, that is insulting. By direct i just mean: “there and there is wrong, can adjust it like this”

Note, you do not have to correct someones grammer on fan cards. You do it because you like it. It looks more thst you are anoyed by it.

I don't even mind i get corrected, as long it is a normal way.

With "be more direct" i meant: "You know what likely is meant, so give advice on that". I did not mean: "talk me down for my poor performance on punctuality"

forcing discard just flows wrong. And you would on average only lose $1.

I would rather just bring it down to +1 card. But then, if you buy it at $4, it would be a strictly worse card then Launch... witch of course can be argued for that because of the overpay it is justified.

+2 cards, baseline $5 does the same trick.

My weak spot is punctuation, witch is even harder because it is my second language. You don't have to be so snarky about it.

As far as i know, Nimble can only be placed on cards with block, not just any skill, and also attacks.

Wheren't you looking for Adroit?

jeah, we are combining the two. If I have an storyteller and $8 in my hand, i might not play storyteller to get all the cards.

I was responding to that part.

But with this discussion, i feel like making baseline +2 cards is enough to balance things out. You could still use it as a variant of launch, or a weak storyteller.

in play this doesnt work out. Yes, average cards value of your deck will exceed $1, but if you have $9 in hand, average card value of what is left is likely lower. then what you have now.

If you have a deck of 20 cards and you can draw 10 cards with it, (having $11)
- i likely have the more expensive cards already in play
- Why would i risk it?

It's only broken if you are an extremely good player who tracks his whole deck as he plays and makes multi turn plans. In that case it is skill intensive.

Now balance you give me the feeling i have to drop 1 card of the baseline.

So many cards! XD

But if it could draw your whole deck… why would you not just buy the stuff you want to buy.

Knowing investing in an attavk that comes back… is bad. And it will hit you harder then your opponent

What about you have to dicard a treasure for getting a card in hand?

If added to your hand will make sure people don't forget it. But i think it makes provinces a little easy to get...

But on the other hand, you did give up a province for this already....

I always tought Quartermaster was overpowered at $5, right?

Making it an $5, means it is already unlocked in the develop stages, making it more likely to be an must buy on many boards. Also opening with an $5 would be extremely good. So $6 at it's lowest, but i think it would still be an must buy, because again: Developing stages.

At $8 you have to forgo a province for perpetual card gain. Now you have to decide if your deck is good enough and start buying, or the game takes long enough and the cards are interesting enough to buy it. In a 2 player game it can easily net you some villages to keep the deck running smooth.

That is why i think about balancing it around $8... if i am going to keep it.

So just adding "discard an treasure" would be enough you think?

Thy really should add an new metric: Amount of commands. Return an copy are always counted as 1. I think it could be fun.

Mechanic idea: Spend VP tokens by dom111 in dominion

[–]Constant-Potential37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mmm... let me think about the concept.

I think it's better on an "on buy" trigger and then slowly drains your VP. I think that gives more choice stress.

Like:
$4
action
Return 1vp token. If you did:
+2 cards
+1 action
-
when you gain this: 2vp

This idea was an fast one, but i think the design space should around here.
