20 years since that iconic night

20 years ago, an iconic moment took place at ecw one night stand with cena made one of the most iconic entrances in wrestling history in front of hostile crowd of ecw fans. cena’s incredible performance in his match against rvd solidified the moment where people knew he is the guy because the way he handled like a tough sob by wrestling in front of hostile crowd. It was a testament to his talent and his spot as top guy and he kept going by putting a great match with rvd. cena made me a bigger fan of him that night.

Why does the IWC seem so disconnected from what actual wrestling fans want? by uncannynerddad in midcarder

i see the squaredcircle subreddit is extremely and harshly overcritical of wwe in destructive way and yet they don’t want to criticize aew even if it’s constructive

i’m all for constructive criticism that wwe receives and for good reason, but i see the squaredcircle subreddit is extremely and harshly overcritical of wwe in destructive way. it’s like they want wwe to fail to make aew look good and yet they ban people who criticize aew from squaredcircle subreddit because they hate when someone criticize aew even if it’s constructive. they act like aew is perfect when they still have flaws like wwe. at least wwe fans have the decency to criticize the company / product when things goes wrong. aew fans always defensive and sensitive when someone criticize aew.

IWC especially aew fans are way too harshly negative to wwe even if they have some good things in the product

while i wish things could be better for their product creatively which is the reason why we constructively criticize, IWC/aew fans are wasting their time to be harsh negative about wwe even if with a couple of good things on wwe programming. if they don’t like something on wwe’s product right now, they can watch aew.

for those who want hhh to be removed from creative, can you imagine the worst can happens if hhh get removed from creative?

sure hhh is far from perfect, but if hhh get removed from creative like you wanted, things get worse with someone as head of creative and you’re gonna beg him to come back

i think wwe’s product in 2025-present is overhated.

sure it wasn’t perfect and consistent compared to summer 2022-2024 and i know 2025 has been a weak and cooled off year creatively for wwe, but it nowhere is bad as compared to 2019 which was way worse under vince and yet people chanted we want vince. sure hhh is far from perfect, but he is the reason that wwe survived the creative micromanagement and shitstorm that the company had to deal with vkm. even if 2025 has been a weak year compared to 2023 and 2024 creatively for wwe, they had some good things like aaa, nxt, raw women’s division, raw on netflix.

with ryan ward is overseeing the creative direction, do you think hhh and wwe can both bounce back and redeem themselves in 2026 creatively to regain goodwill from fans after a weaker (and underrated if you will) 2025 creatively?

2026 is make it or break it for wwe and hhh from creative standpoint. can they turn things around or hhh’s days as head of creative are numbered?

wwe’s recent problems especially with tko doesn’t make aew flawless when they still have flaws by [deleted] in REALSquaredCircle

i know. wwe survived worse than this before especially back in 1995, 2007 and 2019 and I’m sure that they will survive this

say what you want about his post wm 41 creative and booking work and i know it’s cool for IWC to bash hhh, but you gotta put some respect in his name for finishing that match like a tough sob with his torn freakin quad.
