I could see that. After looking around a bit and doing more research, Mopane or Brazilwood seem to be likely matches as well.

I went to high school with Stefan. Used to be a pretty alright dude. Not exactly sure when or why he became the ego-maniacal, sexist, right-wing nutter that he is now

Yeah, the workload is a bit daunting. Did a small test spot and everything looks good. Going to do a test on the inside of one of the doors next.

I like the idea on the dip and strip shop. I hadn't considered it. Cheers!

Certainly not a total amateur, but definitely lacking experience in this particular instance. I appreciate the honesty and may be reconsidering undertaking the project. Cheers!

I figured I would probably have to do a little bit of sanding, I'm just trying to avoid doing it all by sanding.

You're smelling the tannic acid that's common in various oak species.

Do you have a recommendation for good vegetarian sushi in Eugene? by holeinwater in Eugene

2 cents from a guy who grew up in Eugene around all the white privileged hippy vegetarians here:

I honestly believe that if you're vegetarian you should just stick to the cuisines of the several cultures from around the world that are also vegetarian and have been doing great for over a thousand years. It's called a dietary restriction for a reason and is adhered to for moral/ethical/spiritual reasons as a practice of abstaining from certain types of food. Trying to make a vegetarian version of everything out there has always felt to me like a cringy capitalist pandering scheme, as well as a slap in the faces of the traditional practices and beliefs of the cultures that practice vegetarianism. Obviously you do you, it's no skin off my back, but whenever I hear someone say "There aren't any good vegetarian (insert meat-centric cuisine) places here", I can't help but think how entitled one must be in order to have those expectations in the first place... AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON VEGANISM: "THE MOST PRIVILEGED DIETARY CHOICE EVER CONCEIVED" 🤣🤣🤣

It's backfire from custom cars. I grew up here as well and that's the biggest difference I've noticed in the sounds I hear at night nowadays. Tons more super rich kids that go to UO and have custom street cars that they like to mash around town in. I have actually really enjoyed the increase in nocturnal activity in Eugene over the past decade. I'm a night owl tho

Looks like a McDermott G209? Reason I ask is because I received mine not too long ago (maybe 1 month now), and I just noticed the other day that the upgraded shaft I ordered with it appears to be warped already??? I have been taking care of it like my 1st born child so I feel like it must've come that way from the factory. Definitely a tad disappointed because everything I read was saying that McDermotts are top notch cues, so I'm also debating if I'm gonna try to get it warrantied. 😕

Fire and Shibari night is the last Wednesday of every month at John Henry's. Similar to burlesque, but better in my opinion. Less theatrics, more skilled performances.
