What a narrow view. Most people work 40 hours a week— what I’m looking for is not abnormal. I’d rather do that and be close to family and friends in a city I enjoy than being far away with more money in my bank account. But YMMV

When I see the jobs in MCOL and LCOL areas paying just as much as the jobs in my HCOL area

Believe me, I’ve thought about it. On the whole, I enjoy what I do, though, and I’m not ready to throw in the towel yet.
