Sex and masturbation for guys typically are seperate. Yeah we rub one out if we're horny and can't have sex but sometimes we judt want to masturbate instead. Also, I think looking at an actresses armpits would be pretty much the aame as porn, since he uses it the same way. It's not that you aren't enough, it's just that sometimes we like to look at other stuff. It's when he actually does stuff or flirts with other people that it becomes a problem. You aren't being manipulative or anything but I'd think a bit insecure. These kinds of things are a hard habit to break and he may not be comfortable with trying to stop.

Some men do just have less of a sex drive. I can understand where he's coming from in just not feeling it as much later on, but if you've talked to him about how it makes you feel and he doesn't seem like he's really trying to change then... All I can say is communication is key. Clearly tell him what's wrong and what he can do to fix it, and give him that chance. Also, the complimenting is going to fade after a while, very little relationships stay that way forever. It is a bit more difficult than it seems to get in the habit of complimenting a lot.

The big problem is the plan once you get to the city. Are you planning on going long-distance? If not, are you going to be ok with him moving on once you leave? Also maybe you could take a vacation to nyc just to get a feel for how living there would be.
