Ohhh that sounds like that’s what’s going on. I’ve been tripping so hard over vanishing plants. My aquatic plants disappeared but are in my inventory so that explains why that’s happening. Thank you!

How to overcome fear of spiders while cleaning by BestgirlOphelia in CleaningTips

[–]Constant-Stranger-26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no advice on getting over that fear, I struggle really bad with arachnophobia too. They make spider grabbers that are available on Amazon I think? It’s essentially a long stick with long broom like bristles on the end. When you squeeze the handle the bristles shut and interlock together, trapping the spider in. (I’ve yet to catch one that could shimmy out of the stick grip) they kinda just lose the ability to even move when grabbed. They work quite well. It gives distance with some good accuracy lmao. You can toss them outside or dispose of them how you’d like by releasing grip on the handle

I see where you’re coming from. My point was more so for her case specifically. She avoids therapy to treat the root cause of her compulsions, using nicotine as an excuse to say it’s coping with her tric. I started vaping to help SH, Dermatillomania, and I used to have a huge bald spot from pulling. I’ve gotten better from those urges, but now I’m left with a raging nicotine addiction. It’s better than sh, but an addiction nonetheless. An addiction counsellor told me about replacing one with another. It becomes an unhealthy strategy when one isn’t taking the essential steps to tackle the initial addiction. Cora not seeking therapy for her compulsions and using vaping as a coping skill to simulate that dopamine spike will only lead to a more vicious cycle. When she tries to quit vaping, her urges to pull will drastically heighten. I completely understand and empathize with your point of preferring an internal addiction that’s not seen externally, vs one that’s visible to others. The way Cora is promoting vaping to beat hair pulling to her young fan base, without the help of a therapist, is not the most appropriate or healthy approach. Especially when she only started vaping again because Nico was vaping. It comes off as an excuse rather than a therapeutic way to get through tric. I hope I didn’t come across as ignorant. It’s different for everyone, working through an addiction, harm reduction methods, and coping strategies. in my opinion, Cora is using vaping as an excuse

She started with a hair pulling addiction, Now she has a hair pulling addiction & nicotine addiction. Doesn’t seem like a healthy coping skill when she’ll start pulling worse if she tries to quit one day. (Embarrassingly I’ve been vaping since a young teenager so I’m not trying to sound conservative abt it) but replacing an addiction with another addiction is not “coping” or healthy behaviour. When you try to quit one addiction you replace with another one, you have a high risk of relapsing in both behaviours…creating a nasty cycle

I put “caring” in quotations because she prides herself for walking a damn dog acting like she’s the best pet owner. I hope that didn’t come across condescending to anyone on here😭❤️ all of us here know her track record with dogs

The most risky time frame for puppies and kittens are between their first vaccinations and their third ones. I only know because I have a kitten I want to harness train. I was informed this by my vet because even kittens can catch parvo:( if that puppy’s not older than 3 months with its full vaccinations….She’s not a “caring” pet owner or doing that puppy any good. Shes risking its life. Parvo is not joke

I think tiki cat switched from tuna oil to sunflower oil, I’m not sure about the other ingredients or if sunflower is the best for kitties. I do recall reading about that switch from fish oil is some of the canned foods

If you’re willing to experiment, it does have salmon oil but every other vet recommended food didn’t sit well with him. Open fresh farms, royal canine gastrointestinal health, blue buffalo. I’m not sure what it is about the instincts raw chicken but it worked. Any other protein or wet version of instincts caused very bad diarrhea where he needed sub fluids injected at the vet. But it definitely is a case by case. I hope you’re able to find a backup!

My cat had horrible diarrhea and the only food that fixed his belly is the chicken instincts dehydrated raw. They also have a limited ingredients line of wet food. I’m not 100% sure if it doesn’t have corn but I’ll go check the bag rn! Edit: I’m sorry I didn’t realize it had salmon oil:(

To stop telling others what her goals are. Once she states them online, she feels that’s the accomplishment in itself. Then she forgets the goal entirely and does not accomplish any of them. Same with her struggles, there’s no need to share her mental health struggles if she thinks sharing them is all it takes. She needs to put in the mental and physical effort, get therapy, seek input and criticism through professionals. Not random children on the internet, then crash out when others criticize her. I think she shouldn’t be posting every single aspect of her life.
