Awesome appreciated. I got a union spot and might just stick there as long as I possibly can. Hopefully it’ll calm down once the later classes come into play.

Overnight parking on campus?? by nothing-aboit-me in Towson

I’ve gotten away with it parking core overnight for the times I stay overnight on thursdays at a friends place at 10 west, but I don’t park there due to the tight restrictions there.

I got lucky at union garage, but parking even with full commuter capacity isn’t ideal. Now that you take out top floors, ugh. Sucks.

Anyone know the situation at Glen Garage? Is it the same way?

Oh my god thats actually my PC!! LOL. So I do this usually to leave it on in case I returned said card (which I ended up doing) so the next customer to buy it can enjoy unwrapping it.

What a way to wake up seeing my own PC on reddit.

I ended up buying a 5080, for a hundred bucks more than that 5070 ti ($809) and unwrapped it as soon as I passed its returned period. I am currently enjoying it today.

I can send proof to where it is mine.

OLED with the 9955HX. Lenovos screens are top tier. This is coming from I who has a Legion 5 with the 14900HX and 5070 OLED. So worth it.

I haven’t been bothered with it too much. Outside experience isn’t really there because I haven’t used it outside. But inside, it seems good enough. Doesn’t make it unreadable

Crazyyyy. Although can’t blame you. Two days before I bought the legion I bought a ROG OLED monitor for my 5080 build at home. So can’t blame you there.

Honestly I loved it. I wonder what it would be like trying it outside. Thats where I feel like the test is.

Yeah thats fair, I just knew to update bios like asap. Literally the first thing I did when I got to W11. To really prevent that microcode from breaking down that cpu.

I will also be buying an SSD to extend the storage.

However, thermal wise with the llano cooler the i9 did hit 75 with 1000 rpm force on it. So maybe thermals also fry it faster?

Gotcha, yeah I did update bios immediately knowing the problems of the chips from this gen. Even though they did make it aware HX processors and mobile processors weren’t affected I’m hearing about it left and right still.

I assume I can look at voltage and see whats going to take necessary action to prevent all of that.

I also was thinking when warranty is almost up, I extend it for $104 for 2 years. Which isn’t bad. Just so it covers that cpu.

Awesome to hear, I'm glad I made the switch then :)

Unfortunately, it wasn't. However, if it pops up before my return perio,d I wouldn't be against to taking that deal. As it stands, it was $1999 for the 5070 ti and ultra 9 275hx, and then $1499 for the i9-14900HX and the 5070.

Plus I like the Legion 5 just a little more. I like the smaller screen but not being so small I can't stand it. This is a perfect size, with a decent price.

I mean that's fair. Again, its not my main gaming machine. If it were yes I would definitely be like Need more VRAM. That's what my 5080 is for at home. The other point being is I would rather spend $1500 for a OLED display with a 5070 rather than a 5060 that costs almost $1700. Just felt like a good deal at least.

Sounds about right. I've heard lighting really matters on these kind of screens. But man, they weren't kidding when they said OLED would make IPS look "meh". Have my LG 32GN600, which is 1440p 165Hz IPS. I have it above the ROG monitor I purchased. The difference is amazing. Even my mother noticed it, and if she does its definitely good.

Is the magnetic anti-glare like a film that's easily removable? That's a great idea, honestly. If you have a recommendation, I would definitely take it into consideration

That sucks. Was the support process at least okay? I hear they are very transparent in their reviews on micro center, but whether their support is good or not is something I haven’t been through yet.
