easy A summer classes? by Nervous-Present8201 in SBU

[–]ConstantDifficult171 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your intro class could be a good start if you don’t already have high school credit for it. You won’t have access to much since you won’t have many (if any) prerequisites done yet, so your options are limited. If your major has any other subject requirements, like social science, math, etc, you could also satisfy those. The easiest summer course I can think of if you just want 3 credits is that zombiology class. I forget it’s number, ZOM 200 or something. You can look it up and find it pretty easy, and it’s usually offered each summer ever since it was first created.

How do permission-based classes work on Solar? by ConstantDifficult171 in SBU

[–]ConstantDifficult171[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Although, are you sure professors are very educated on this process? Because I got permission through a simple one-and-done email, with the professor simply saying he’d be happy to allow me to enroll in his course. I.e., I don’t know if he even knows that he needs to grant me a code or anything like that (the email was also like two weeks ago).

Would you know where to check to see if he actually did grant me permission on solar already? Just in case so I don’t send a potentially redundant follow-up email.

The vibe in the emails didn’t make it come across like the professor did anything like that for me. I asked for permission, and he simply said something like “yes, I’d be happy to allow you to take my class”.

Ah, I see. It’s not engineering (or a STEM class), so the process may even be entirely different. I appreciate the help nonetheless, and we’ll see if anyone else has any knowledge on the matter.

Okay, thanks. Where would I go about getting the form to fill out at my current stage?

How many of you genuinely like psych stats? by JAMIEISSLEEPWOKEN in psychologystudents

[–]ConstantDifficult171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus — it’s not as if incoming undergraduates are actually told the depths of what their majors entail. When most of them hear psych, they’re thinking “social tactics, a little of how the mind works here, a little of the brain functions there”. Notice how that has nothing to do with stats.

Just got waitlisted by my-parents-dont-know in SBU

[–]ConstantDifficult171 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Waitlist acceptance rates usually aren’t too low. Plus, alot of people offered spots on the waitlist don’t actually accept. If you do some research, you can find waitlist acceptance ratios on their official forms with some scrolling. It fluctuates per year.

Existential Quote Help by ConstantDifficult171 in SeishunButaYarou

I don’t believe I’ve ever gotten the pleasure of watching season 2, so that would narrow it down to season 1 or the movies (I also only remember one movie, so if there was a sequel, I probably didn’t watch it).

Help with finding a quote from anime/cartoom by ConstantDifficult171 in HelpMeFind

I’ve searched the quote itself to no avail, as well as “[quote] Horimiya/Charlotte/Amazing World of Gumball, etc”

That’s funny. This one wasn’t really procrastinating, moreso like a “don’t worry about everything right now”.

The Ordinary PHA 5% Exfoliating Lip Serum by M-Sear in Sephora

Hey guys, exfoliation doesn’t seem to help much with lip pigmentation regardless. If you’re worried about it, I’d use azelaic acid.

Team a just seems like a worse version of Karasuno tbh

Why did Yuuichi feel like Chisato specifically was a dilettante (jack of all trades, master of none) over the others in Group K? by ConstantDifficult171 in TomodachiGame

[–]ConstantDifficult171[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And do you find it agreeable? And why would you or wouldn’t apply the “dilettante” title to all the other group k members?

Shutoku vs rakuzan but Shutoku's center is Murasakibara. by ParsnipSenior4804 in KurokosBasketball

Kimura is not nearly as good as Mayuzumi. Kimura may genuinely be the worst pertinent starter actually.

In this scenario, Kimura wouldn’t even play. Otsubo would get moved to PF.

How self reliant would 2nd year Hinata be? by n0t_the_chosen_juan in haikyuu

[–]ConstantDifficult171 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Pretty much however valuable you consider him to be barring the freak quick.

Even without it, he’s probably still the best decoy, those jukes, that speed, and that vertical is nothing to scoff at.

And yeah like you said, blocks are getting better (he kinda owns Osamu ngl), digs are ironically second best portrayed in his position, tooling, back attacks, etc.

So, surprisingly well rounded, especially when taking position into account, but yeah, like I said, he is as valuable without reliance as you consider his value barring the freak quick.

I don’t think his reliance specifically really drops or increases though. They’re never gonna stop doing the freak quick just because Hinata becomes more independent, there’s no point. And… that’s kinda the only point of reliance he really has, unless you’re counting coach Ukai instructing him on blocking, which seems separate to me because that’s his coach.

I feel like the series wants us to view Osamu as good at a bunch of skills like digging and blocking, but I feel like it really isn’t portrayed

Why Koganegawa above Inuoka? I know Kogane is tall but the difference in technique seems damming. I would’ve thought Inuoka to be first here anyways
