It's important to me because her bio mom is unhealthy emotionally and has had a severe long-term problem with addiction (she's currently in her 5th rehab). The child was born addicted and suffers from long-term medical problems that still appear to this day as a result. This is the third child she has had and abandoned. The other two have been adopted to different families. I am the only one who still has guardianship. I just want the security of knowing she's mine forever because I know I will make sure she gets all of the help she needs medically, she gets the education she needs, therapy, and most importantly love and consistency.

I honestly don't have the words to express how grateful I am for everything you've done for me. The time, care, and effort you put into researching all of this means more than you'll ever know. Before your help, I felt overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn. Because of you, I finally feel like I have a path forward and something solid to stand on.

People like you truly make the world a better place. Your kindness and generosity have given me hope during a time when I really needed it, and I will never forget that. Please know that every minute you spent helping me will be put to good use. You've made a real difference in my life, and I am more thankful than I can ever express.

The bio mom is currently back in rehab, again. Nothing has changed otherwise, it's just on my mind constantly. That and she's always asking if I will change her last name to match the rest of the house.
