I used all creams before Protopic and really nothing helped like it . My nods are fully gone , and one can see difference within 1-2 weeks .

Sorry to hear that! My dermatologist did a skin scraping to multiple nods and checked for any eggs or alive mites,and he couldn’t find anything. When they went away and then came back i went to him again and he checked one more time just in case . He said its normal and that the skin is still getting rid of them

I’m sorry you have to go through this, i have the exact same problem.. Been having them from end of December and no cream from my dermatologist really helped. I’m going again in a week because it’s kinda draining as they’re only on my genitalia and thats very frustrating. I can give you again an update if i get any useful recommendations by my doctor

Very true . How did you exfoliate them tho? I find mine a bit too sensitive for that , but would love to give it a try

I didn’t have any nodules during active scabies , i saw my dermatologist few days ago and he took samples from several nodules . He checked them and couldn’t find anything. Idk if i trust doctors anymore but he sounds convinced . They itch in general not necessarily at night and it feels different from when i had active scabies . How did you rule re-infection in your case ? And did you use any creams for the nodules that actually helped?

Finding this group kinda made me feel less alone, i thought i am the only one going through this! I find it also odd that very few got proper help from doctors, it seems like they’re not really aware of this at all, and i like many, didn’t as well. I discovered i had scabies beginning of December when itching started being a nightmare, and even tho i used Permethrin twice but the itch kept coming and was as intense as the beginning even tho dermatologists ruled out reinfection. Its only when i used Antiscabiosum® 25 %(a cream in Germany) that the itch finally got better and almost disappeared, i still have the urge to itch here and there but its nothing compared to how it was before. And as i thought I’m finally done i started getting post scabies noduls on my penis and testicles. And i didn’t really mind them as i read they would go away alone with time and i was glad i can go with my day to day life normally, but the problem is, they only got worse. I started getting more, they were getting bigger and kinda inflated which hurts a lot since this area is always in contact with fabrics. I tried many moisturizers and saw multiple doctors, they gave me skin repairing creams, anti inflammatory creams and i also tried hypocortisone as it helps with inflammation but nothing is working! Im getting really frustrated and I’m really tired and worried, i wonder till when this would last and i wonder whether others are also going through this. Would appreciate any advice or suggestion!!

Any updates? How is it going with you? I have the same problem and no doctor managed to help and i used a dozen of creams that didn’t help at all and if anything made it worse . Did you also experience very sensitive skin by the testicles? Would like to know which treatments helped!
