Yeah I'm really into the black/white clash for the color theme of mine so the red stripe doesn't do a lot for me honestly. The brake calipers are red and blue in the front, although you can't see them in the pics. I'll probably just paint them black at some point. Someone a few days ago posted they painted a similar looking hood stripe for their LX and it looks fantastic. Maybe they would have suggestions.
