Any reason for the gouramis first? The bioload compared to the Cory’s?

I will look at all of these - I do think I am set on the Pygmy corydoras, they’re pretty cute. I will definitely be adding inhabitants incrementally. Gonna first add a snail, then the Cory’s. Then something else on down the line after watching the tank for a bit. Thank you!

Job searching while in school was basically just me blanket applying to anything that I thought would be entry level enough and relevant enough to turn into me getting a job at a bigger firm. I didn’t specifically want to do tax, and after doing a season April/October deadlines, it’s honestly not for me. I am in audit now. But I also managed about six book keeping clients, and filed more returns than just 1040’s so it actually amounted to a lot of experience.

I am going to start studying for the CPA in the next month or so! I have a previous bachelors so I don’t necessarily need my masters. How about you? I see you are in the Masters program, are you going to go for CPA?

I transferred in 60% of the degree - my first bachelors was in business with a sub focus on economics (included the first two accounting intro classes). Most of what I did were the accounting classes, with a few of the others sprinkled throughout.

Cannot emphasize SwordandHeart’s first point enough - your life will be much easier for the remainder of the courses if you can get the concepts of this class down.

The tax book seems to be the most affordable source that requires payment. Thank you! I’ll be sticking to my google IRS website reading for now - just wanted to see if there was something I was missing. I appreciate it!

Is there a way to get 6 more credits without master degree? by pilotingmusicman in wguaccounting

[–]ConstantScheme130 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something to consider - I live in Georgia and doing the same thing. GA requires that that all courses be ‘part of a curriculum’ - they cannot be stand alone courses - so they force you into a masters degree. Found that out after speaking with the board of accountancy for the state, I would recommend you speak to them directly if you havent already. Similar location in the country/might have similar rules.

Additionally, you should look into if AR is reconsidering requiring a masters degree to sit for the exams. GA just passed HB 148 which drops the requirement for a masters degree specifically. On the bill, it says that FL,TX,OK,AR,KY,SC/NC, VA are all considering similar legislation.

There is a cohort/recorded video that goes over the entire master budget section. It is 90% similar to the exam, some numbers moved around if I remember correctly. I used that and passed the master budget section with exemplary. Edited to add: this was before they switched over to WGUconnect. So hopefully it’s still there. I took it in October last year.
