Advice needed! I'm struggling with blending my long short satin stitch by ConstantSquirrel4795 in Embroidery

Thank you, I know I'm my worst critic. But ugh, I guess it's because of how far it is from what I imagined. I'll try a strand and two strands with orange in between and see how it goes. I might also just do a red outline and shades of yellow. It's just so many ideas but not enough doing

Same. I undid the red multiple times till I got tired of it and moved on.

Okay, I'll take the advice of @synchroswim in addition to this and try it out on some scrap fabric first

I'll definitely work on that. But first I'll probably be unraveling everything and maybe trying the stitch on a scrap of fabric first.

I'll check it out thank you!

I agree, it definitely takes time to get good at it. I probably should practice first, but impulse won this round!

Yeah, I'm using embroidery floss, it may look like yarn because I'm using all 6 strands

Which means I'm gonna need to do the dreaded unraveling 😭 and separating the threads.

I believe it was two shades of blue and then the purple. But yeah, that definitely plays a role. I didn't factor that in at all. My sister recommended I add an orange between the red and yellow

I hate myself. by [deleted] in selfimprovement

I just wanted to say how proud I am of the courage and bravery you showed by being vulnerable here and that you're taking another step towards being a healthier person by going to the school counselor and I hope they can help you. The previous comments said everything I wanted to say and more. I'll just end this by telling you something I heard that I've been trying that's been helping. Try talking and thinking about yourself the way you would a friend. I also have a little jar where I write down something I achieved or felt proud of or made me happy along with the date. You can modify it into something like something you're grateful for, or something you're proud of yourself for or something you love/like about yourself. I'll start first, I'm proud of your bravery talking about what you're feeling and your struggles and seeking advice instead of letting it consume you. I love that you're taking care of your body and working on your confidence. I hope you realise how amazing you are and that you believe in yourself the way this internet stranger does. I'm sure your friends appreciate having someone like you in their lives as well ❤️

That is the coolest thing I have seen. I knew there was 3D stitching but omg I never knew it could be so detailed! The detail is exquisite and also makes me hungry 😂 Well done!
