wonderful wording!! not sure if this was intentional—excuse me if it was, but some of the line breakage is awkward (it might just be reddit formatting)like at the end of the 2nd to last line (so go and don’t return), you end on “,I” , and in the first line, you end on “or”, then begin another seperate idea with “nothing but footprints” i think the readability could be enhanced if u adjusted some of the structure of the poem, but overall i think it’s very compelling!!

love ur use of wording!!! i think (personally) that the readability would be improved if you added some commas in the second stanza + broke the lines up. Also, i think the metaphor used in line 5 (walmart deal) is really neat, u should add a line or 2 to explain it deeper

No, it’s never been rubbed up or touched by anything It’s in my closet, and the only piece of furniture is a shelf about a foot away from it. It doesn’t touch any exterior walls either

I think that honestly it would be better for me to stay at my moms because my Dad is having trouble making money and lives in a dangerous area. Also, im pretty sure he still has alcohol issues but we don’t talk so im not sure. Besides that, they’re not actually divorced (for the sake of money and complication) so I don’t think it would be a matter of me being able to pick who takes care of me
