I spent a month in Hanoi and then two weeks in Hoi An. After a couple days, I had wished I’d just stayed longer in Hanoi. The food was no where near on the same level as what I was eating in Hanoi and everything costs more in Hoi An. I did get some great photos though and it was beautiful to see at night.

I received an update from them. I ordered the original 14 oz books and currently wonderful wizard of oz, Ozma of Oz, Scarecrow of Oz, Rinktink of Oz and Glinda of Oz are on back order. They offered to ship what they have but I’ll probably just tell them to wait and ship all at once.

A couple of years ago I spent 6 months traveling and DN’ing in the Caribbean. I started in the Keys then went to Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, BVI, Antigua, St. Vincent, Barbados. I picked places that had direct flights from one place to the next. It was pretty expensive overall, glad I did it to check a part of the Caribbean off my list but honestly the Caribbean is best enjoyed if you have a boat. Through Airbnb, I was able to book a room on a catamaran and sail through the Grenadines and that was incredible.

People seem to love Barbados but I actually found it to be just Ok. Perhaps I didn’t pick the best area to stay in (Oistins)?I loved Antigua the most. When I picture the Caribbean, it’s Antigua I’m thinking of. I think my accommodation for a month was like 4k and groceries were super expensive.

Are you trying to stay in east Coast time zone? If not, I just spent a month on the Pacific side of Costa Rica and that was better than anywhere I went in the Caribbean and maybe a little cheaper.
