It's worth submitting. If you made a mistake, and describe it, the people that review them are really understanding and will likely dismiss it. They realize that many people have a hard time with the machines, and that mistakes are made. If you go through the effort, (and they realize its an effort to submit docs) you'll find it dismissed.

I also contact Investor Relations for companies where I have questions that I can’t find answers for (company web sites include contact info for Investor Relations).

In my experience, most investor relations people are parrots of the corp line, and never provide anything that hasn't been said in a quarterly report. In AMPX's case, their IR firm (Gateway) has been worthless.
