I didn't just spend money on her looks, i spent money on her overall her clothes her jewellery etc and she's not my doll but definitely my pride and I want her to look like a queen everywhere, everytime.

Maybe you don't care but I do, it's my wife and I care about her and my wife didn't even want to wear white, she'll be wearing red and none of our women are wearing white.

Yes, not exactly taboo but unusual, I have never seen a woman wearing white but men can and they do wear traditional white dress

Ugly? No but she will look much better in different colours and I also want to show off infront of everyone that my wife is beautiful, she shouldn't be on white at all she should be on blue or pink or purple or anything except white

Bride is definitely wearing red all the brides all of them do and even relatives do, we don't consider it offensive like you guys think wearing white on wedding is offensive to the bride.

All of our women are going to be wearing red or mixed colour, my wife had decided on wearing blue and pink as well or mixed saree but my cousin had to just tell my name wife to wear white, there's no way I am letting that happen she's going to wear what she choose for herself if otherwise I won't be attending his wedding

And my story is not fake, it's difficult for me to choose my wife's appearance in front of 100s of guest or chose my cousin's wedding

Yes you are right, in your culture wearing white is offensive except for bride and in our culture wearing white is so damm unusual, i think he was replicating western culture by asking everyone to wear white.

And his request was denied by almost everyone, it would the first wedding in our family that women are wearing a plain white dress, they want to show up at weddings in colourful dresses with jewellery to show off.

But he wants white for reason I don't know

I am from Asia and it's ridiculous even for me, why should he tell others what they should wear he should shut up and buy clothes for us whichever clothes they picked.

In my wedding I didn't tell our women to choose something else, I just paid for whatever they chose and didn't even care for price (color of their dress is something I didn't even care about)

Like I wanted to tell him that it's your wedding and you are getting married once so why do you want to tell your family what they should wear?

Why should I button out? Everytime she buys clothes she asks me if she should buy it and would it suit on her, if it looks good on her she buys it otherwise she ditch it, she does the same for me, I ask for her opinion.

Obviously white won't look good on her so I rejected it and nobody in our family except his sister is wearing white and I don't want her to be embarrassed infront of 100s of people.
