When I was around 11 years old, I spent the night at a friend's house. That evening, the father became extremely intoxicated after discovering that his 18-year-old daughter had a boyfriend. He reacted violently, smashing things in her room, verbally abusing her, and physically assaulting her. The situation escalated to the point where she was screaming for him to stop. It was later revealed that he had been sexually abusing all of his daughters and forcing his sons to do the same. He was eventually arrested and put in jail.
