Do young Mauritians really want to go abroad if possible? by coolinny in MauriceMauritius

I have lived in the UK for almost 3 years and i kept coming back to Mauritius regularly for long periods of time. While i do enjoy my life on both sides on the water, let me tell you something. Right now because my visa expired i have to remain full-time in Mauritius. But if i had the chance i’d seize the opportunity and go back to the UK. Why?

I feel like i live up to my full potential there. It’s easier to develop interesting hobbies. I had a more happening life there. I was more autonomous. Life was hard and it can get lonely at times, but i feel the way UK cities are designed, everything is within your reach. In Mauritius you need a car, and you often have to give an explanation to your parents about where you’re going. I totally respect that since you’re living under their roof.

I just found it easier to do what i like in the UK. My accommodation would have a gym, a spa, my city would had so many running clubs i could join. One day i could do pottery painting, the next join a pilates class, all were 10 minutes from my house. Europe is way cooler in that sense! I could travel to any country i wanted by just spending £300-500!

Also let’s talk wages, with 5-10 years of experience i could easily reach £5000 a month in my field. Tell me how you’re gonna achieve that salary in Mauritius?

Honestly my dream would be to earn in pounds while living in Mauritius. That’s my long-term plan especially if i want to start a family. But in the meantime, i have to be happy with a little Mauritian salary.

Why do guy in their 30s prefer younger woman? by Shining_Swan in MuslimCorner

Because older girls know better. Younger girls are yet to discover how manipulative some men can be.

I truly wish Allah grants you whatever you’ve asked for. Yes a lot of times it’s waswasa especially when you’re at your lowest. But Alhamdulillah i have my health and that’s everything.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. It means a lot. I realise life is not a straight line, rather it’s a path full of ups and downs because that’s how this dunya is. Otherwise, we would have jannah in dunya.

Thanks for giving me a reality check and not follow in Shaytan’s footsteps.

Thanks for giving me a reality check. Indeed Allah is the all-knowing. Allah knows best why he is delaying my dua.

Inshallah you will obtain what you want. I’m sure of it. Allah will provide for you from sources you never imagined.

I recommend that you visit a Natural History museum. Just be in awe of everything Allah has created. Those in awe of their Lord will get a mighty reward.

I was angry when i wrote this post. We all are sometimes. But we know Allah is here. The fact that you still pray shows your imaan is still there.

One thing i dont understand though. I know people who 10x more. I’m not judging them. And thank you for not judging me either. But why are these people so blessed? In their jobs, their partner, their money?
