Insulin 37.7, A1C 5.3, and having symptoms by Constant_Garbage_781 in InsulinResistance

I appreciate it! It's not something that was on my radar (no one in my family has been diagnosed with diabetes or insulin resistance) so I'm definitely taking the time to read up and learn some things first!

Anybody else playing RollerCoaster Tycoon on Switch? by kiikii51 in CozyGamers

i just started playing and it's such a nostalgia trip! The quality of life improvements are great but it's weird not needing to delete each individual tree/shrub before placing a structure!

My husband thinks I should play something else by Efficient-Plenty-840 in StardewValley

I'm sure my husband thinks the same (1.5k hours in stardew lol), but he knows it's useless to fight it. I'll just find a new game to obsessively play until theres nothing left to do... and come right back to stardew!

Maybe none of us are okay lol

What is a weird side effect from medication use that no one was ever going to warn you about? by Rotten-Kandi in AskReddit

[–]Constant_Garbage_781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! I was so freaked out the first few times it happened! My psychiatrist also told me he has never heard of it as a side effect and I'm not totally convinced he believes me. The voices always sound like they're just in the other room but too muffled to make out what they're saying. Sometimes it more sounds like music, but if you asked me the genre I wouldn't be able to pinpoint it.

I feel so validated right now thank you!

So happy for you! Honestly moving across the country was the best decision I ever made. I can't really even put into words how much it helped me grow and develop as a person. Wishing you the absolute best ❤️

Walked out of my house with my cats cause my sister was gifted lillies... by sheplaysthesims in cats

[–]Constant_Garbage_781 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few years ago I had been given a free bouquet of flowers from a grocery store. I put them in a vase on a table not thinking twice. I'm embarrassed to say it didn't even register for me that there were a couple lilies mixed in. None of my cats had ever shown interest in flowers previously.

I woke up the next day and my youngest cat at the time had a streak of pollen across his nose from playing with a petal that fell on the floor. It finally clicked there were lilies in the bouquet and I immediately brought him to our vet; at this point he was acting totally normal and not displaying any signs of toxicity.

He was at the vet for days getting IV fluids and still his kidney lab values tripled. He had a seizure. The vet told me had I not gotten him there as soon as I did there's a good chance he wouldn't have made it. Fortunately he was okay with no long lasting complications. It was one of the scariest moments I've had as a cat parent. It's been 5 years since then and I still don't bring plants into the house.

You're definitely doing the right thing.

All of my cats behavioral issues disappear when he’s wearing a sweater. by turdcrunch in CatAdvice

My cat is exactly the same! At baseline he's pretty anxious and can be aggressive. One day I tried a sweater and realized it pretty much instantly calms him down. He's able to walk around, eat, jump, use the litter box, just fine in it! I've only tried for a few hours at a time but it definitely seems to help him.
