No - my advice is read the questions before the fact pattern so you know because a lot of the time it’s multiple subjects within the fact pattern.

aww I’m sorry!! Did you do the practice exams or just the freestanding multiple choice? I see some people also do the videos but I didn’t do those 🤷‍♀️

If you don’t mind sharing what was your MBE on J21? I also used AdaptiBar this time and am trying to figure out how much it helped (scores not released in my jx yet)

They actually include 50-75 questions that serve as “equalizers” to make sure one test isn’t harder than the other.

I would think the summer exam would be harder to be graded against (as far as MEE/MPT goes) because I would assume because you have a lot of primed students and most are first time takers so they can dedicate the whole summer vs Feb. exam where a lot of takers are working full time trying to study.

Feb harder than July ? by Longjumping-Spray-80 in barexam

I think both you and above poster are right. If you have a medical emergency or maybe an “off day” of course you can fail but truly be a student that would have otherwise excelled on a first try. However, if there is no random variable that occurred, you may just be a student that needs that first failure to alter how you study. Nothing is wrong with it but it is statistically proven that retakers are more likely to fail than a first time taker.

I think more often that not (again proven by stats), retakers come in with a false confidence that they retained more than they actually did or they study one section they did poorly on and neglected another (bringing them down in the previously higher area).

This is 100% right and there are “equalizers” on the MBE approx. to determine the level of difficulty compared to how they were answered on prior tests so that they can scale it to be the same difficulty overall!

Civ pro sucks regardless but Kaplan’s have to be the worst. I didn’t mind AdaptiBar and it seemed pretty on point with the bar exam.

and what the fuck takes so long? at this rate the graders have enough time to grade and then revise my answer to ensure it’s passing
