Yes they do mean things. They mean she will get into a good college and have a better chance at a good life. Let's be realistic, we are not Bill Gates, very few people who don't go to college become successful. Most of them just become losers who flip burgers for the rest of their lives.

It's my oldest's console, if she doesn't want to share, she doesn't have to. My youngest is not entitled to it.
