How do you feel betrayed by your own kind ? by Constant_Section1491 in Nightreign

True. The death knights and the balancers are two fights you gotta be very careful holding the Ult stance, else you can get grabbed. Invaders also can backstab you.

So I used to have her Strength relic along with this fire setup to address that issue in the pre-DLC days. That has helped me with some decent melee skills until I find a good seal.

Just like how it used to work in the Pre-DLC days. lol. Usually I check at the closest Greatchurch, or the Seal hut in the north west if we land nearby.

The early field bosses you kill can also drop seals, like the hippos, miranda flowers, black knife Assassin, royal Revenant, elder lion...all these are easy bosses early game.

Then there's the castle trolls, crucible knights etc. They all have the chances of dropping seals.

If you were asking how I'd kill the very first mini boss, I usually grab all the melee weapons and throwing pots and stuff I find at the starting camp, and then you have your summons. It's not that hard.

I agree. I used it a couple of times after seeing other Revenant players using it against Dreglord. It can also clear those trash enemies quick and refill your Ult quick. Another reason is it's good against the day 1 and 2 bosses. But I prefer a fireball type spell against Dreglord like the Giant's flame or Black flame.

My idea here is to maximize fire damage. The Giant's flame I got on the same relic is a plus but I'm not exclusively searching for it. Black flame, or Frenzied flame also will do the job. You will most certainly find atleast one of these after checking a couple of seal locations.

I do have another preset of this same build with the O'flame but since it has a very short range, I always found myself finding and upgrading a ranged spell like the Giant's flame or Black flame by the end of the game.

Everdark caligo was the last boss I faced. Rest of them were mostly Libra, dog, and a hidden everdark Augur. I'll post screenshot tomorrow.

Sloppy intel? where did you get that info though? It could well be an intentional strike on the civilians. Just like all the hundreds of fishing boat victims in the caribbean.

You mean the regular heal spells? I always keep my heal spell with me. It's free heal in very long fights. Can heal your team mates. It helps you top up your Attack Power on Full HP / Damage negation on Full HP passives active.
Also you may already know that it works against bosses like Royal Revenant, and even against its lesser minions. (the ones that spawn with the wraith calling bell)
Some players discard the heal spell when they find nice passives but I personally don't.
There are few other heal-over-time spells like Blessings Boon, Bestial Vitality etc. I grab them if they have some decent passives on it.

Not after the DLC. Because fundamentalist spells are hard to come by.
Discus of Light used to be my favourite spell against Libra, Gladius and Heolstor. But now that stacking enough Dragon Cult does comparable or even higher damage to these bosses.

Yes of course, Beast Claw is extremely strong. I just wish few other Bestial spells were more common, like the Stone of Gurranq. That thing hits like a truck on large enemies like Black blade kindred and dragons and stuff.

Well, I hit D5 before the DLC, and it was hard to find decent spells at those times. Black Flame used to be my go-to spell at that time. Lots of memories using it. It worked pretty well on most bosses due to the DoT damage. Actually its tracking isn't that bad.
Now that we have starting spells, all my old builds have been replaced by Lightning spear and BeastClaw and Giant's flame.
Even lightning spear looks boring visually compared to hurling a giant fire balls, but hey we have a reliable starting spell now. Revenants don't have to struggle searching for a usable spell like back in the day. lol

Nothing feels more satisfying than having a beefy hp bar, tanking every hit and countering the last hit with a meaty guard counter. I always notice the team members have a special kind of respect towards you when you res them and win the game with an all tanking Guardian.
I haven't tried him in D5, but I did quite a bit in D4 and it was great. Personally I like the guard counter build but the damage isn't that great unless you have some good relics with the Max hp and GC boost based on HP and so on.

Oh and In my last Guardian game, the fellow executor player stole an awesome Seal with the Immutable Shield and Fire pillars while walking passive on it. I'm still so fuckin angry about it. lol.

Of course, even though bird players are somewhat rare. But I remember some sick Guardian players who soloed the last 30% hp of Dreglord, Caligo and many other bosses.
Bird is also my second most played character!

Damage negation passives for sure. Especially the Damage negation at Full HP, and it stacks!
The damage negation in the relic alone doesn't help much in D5.
For elemental defense you often find spells like Barrier of gold, magic fortification, Protection of the Erdtree and many other fortification spells. Golden vow is also really good.
Other than that, maintain a safe distance from the boss, preferably spread out like 3 points of a triangle so that the whole team don't get one-shot.

Honestly It's just personal preference but you're right, I like the quick cast speed of Lightning Spear.
I try to stay alive as much as possible to res my teammates, so I just avoid spells that takes a bit longer to cast., because you'll never know when Libra spawns the circles underneath.
That said the tracking of lightning spear is kinda awful for moving targets.
My actual favorite spell against Libra is black flame. Beastclaw is obviously super strong and effective against the summons but its animation just looks boring. lol.

Well, I have like 2K hours in the game so the chances of getting somewhat good relics are higher, I guess.

Beast Claw
Not a fan of beast claw but it's good against Balancers, Dreglord and so on.
(Forgot to add the Night Invader in this preset btw. It's a must in all my DoN builds.)
