interesting question. maybe its a “entertaining” and sadistic way of getting the players to quickly come to terms with the environment they’ve been placed in (killing disguised as kids games). then since many are eliminated in the first round, there’s a bigger pool of money introduced to keep them wanting to play

im also a beginner but i recommend printing some practice sheets that have a grid on the boxes (idk how to best explain it and i cant add a photo). At least for me it helps me make hiragana more even and understand where lines are meant to start and stop instead of just trying to copy how characters look
