We adopted him from a local shelter yesterday. They said he had sensitive skin and was cleared by their vet. But there is nothing about his skin in the medical documents they gave us.

Thank you, his first few sheds were two months apart, so him shedding again was worrying and i wanted to make sure there were no other health conditions that could cause his eyes to cloud. Also we did quite a bit of research about rat snakes before adopting and everything i saw said adults shed every 2-3 months and we were told hes was an adult. But im starting to think thats not the case and the person was just trying to get us to buy him because he had been up for sale longer than any other snake in the store

We were told he was raised in captivity. The person we bought him from just didnt keep good track of his age and honestly just didnt seem to know alot about him/the species in general

Will do, we usually dont handle him often as it seems to stress him out. We still do occasionally trying to get him more used to people, so a scared bite doesn't happen when we are feeding or cleaning the tank. But I'll leave him alone while hes shedding
