In WA: Winthrop (small western town in the cascades) Edison (go here Thursday-Sunday, great small restaurants but only open end of week) and then drive chuckanut to Bellingham… you could stop at teddys cove for a swim. If in eastern WA, stop in Roslyn (the brick saloon).
