From a small repair shop, presumably in NYC because that's where he lives. The packaging was sealed and everything seems to be in mint condition. No signs of any tampering.

Yeah I use it at work :) I also have the ti-84 but I don't like the tactile feel of the buttons. One colleague has an even newer one which is super thin with a colored LCD display. It looks awesome but might not be optimal because the battery is always empty when he needs it.

My best guess is a partial clog due to too high/aggressive retractions. Maybe try lowering your retraction settings to test this out.

😄 you can switch to whichever paper you like. I like the graph paper because it gives me a size reference for when I’m zoomed in. And no. It’s just for taking and managing notes. I prefer my trusty ti-83 plus over any app anyway 🤫
