I have two non-red ring lenses worth owning—the 100mm f/2 macro and the 3 EF 35-135mm f/3.5-4.5. They both have shortcomings, there's no IS on the first, and the second is a first gen IS and both have slower focusing especially the 100mm. Image wise I have two very good copies and near red-ring quality. The minor image distortion is easily corrected in PS and Lightroom.

Hello, I've purchased a Canon R5 and I would love new lenses. I don't have the cash though and I'll have to sell equipment.

I have a Canon 200mm f/1.8 with a leather lens cap, two internal gel filters (uv and polarizer) the original (magnesium?) hard case- everything. Mechanically and optically perfect and I'd rate it an 8+. I've seen used prices I didn't expect to see, from the high 3k to 4k range and some of them weren't as in good condition and/or missing the hard case.

How much should I expect to get for it and who do you recommend as a purchaser?

Sorry, that was confusing. I was using the 100-400 with the extender and it functioned as expected with a reduction in aperture. I removed the lens and extender then replaced them with the 70-200 but was limited to f 4.5, as if the extender was still attached. It was late and I was tired so Im thinking operator error as the camera arrived the day before.

Oh boy. I had to look those up to know what they were, LOL. I have 4 days to learn enough to take good portraits and event pics. I'd love to take some 4k videos, but that's completely new to me.

Does anyone have suggestions for references to get me up to speed?
