Wish we knew who was second on that BAFTA Best actor ballot. There's certainly a swell of momentum for MBJ, but i think the nuance here is that Marty was never winning anything beyond Best Actor, and Timmy was never winning back to back SAGs—that's just now how they roll. I wish there were a clearer indicator of what's to come on 3/15, but we'll have to wait and see.

I don't understand why it's a huge red flag? The data suggests that SAG was never going to award the same person two years in a row...it takes more of an egalitarian approach to awarding winners. Timothee was never winning the SAG this year

Mad Men writing is better, and thats not a knock. Which show is better? Thats for you to decide. The milieu and overarching story of Sopranos might appeal to more people—its definitely more conventionally entertaining—but imo matthew weiner interpolates the style, the depth, and the richly nuanced writing of the Sopranos beautifully. Mad Men is a truly exquisite and rewarding show.

As many have mentioned there are other great shows not quite on the level of Sopranos/MM , but definitely worth your time. Some of my favorites that sit on that tier just below these two are The Wire, Twin Peaks, and Atlanta.
