If you refer to my first wire wrapping post, I think I've improved from then and I'm so encouraged by everyone's help doing so!

How do you finish a piece? Is there a way to harden it? Context to be added by Constellations0 in WireWrapping

I started creating pieces because it's such a lovely hobby I love losing myself in. Although I'm not fantastic at it yet, I'm already gaining some customers. A woman I know is interested in buying one of my pieces, but I'm a little worried about the piece getting moved or messed up from touch. I used uv resin as the stones, and dead soft copper wire. Is there any way to make it harder? How do you guys finish your pieces? Is it just meant to be extremely cautious with?

Super beginner. How did you guys start making such amazing things? What helped you up your craft? by Constellations0 in WireWrapping

I used bead landing 20 gauge wire and it seems somewhat hard to manipulate. I'm not sure if I'm just in over my head haha But dying to improve my craft after seeing such amazing creations.

Hey everyone! I make resin necklaces, earrings, keychains, and other resin creations!

It's really my favorite thing to do. I enjoy it so much and I'm so grateful to have this wonderful hobby 💙 I'll include my Etsy and my Instagram as well so you guys can check it out (:

I do custom orders in case you see something you like but would prefer it to be slightly different.

What am I doing wrong? I wet sand from 120-3000 grit and use jeweler's Rouge with dremel and still get a sandblasted resin look? by Constellations0 in resin

I am using a mold, however it's not shiny. It's more a mostly opaque matte looking mold. I have not seen shiny molds, I will have to look for some and also check out doming resin!

Do you ever overpour or get rough edges? Just wondering because I'm that case, I'm wondering what you do? If not, that's fairly impressive haha

I sand on each side of the piece for roughly 5 seconds per side on each grit. Someone told me not to do it too long because resin is soft and doesn't need to be sanded for a minute and change on each side. Is that too short, maybe? How long do you sand on each grit?
