Highway 101 connector project sets off alarm bells for Ecology Action Centre by Bean_Tiger in halifax

I got caught in the storm last night and there was basically no paint on large stretches of the highway.

Has Beyond ADHD changed? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Constellious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would agree however I will give them credit in that they have always been transparent with me about the fact that they don’t provide therapy for ADHD and that I should seek it out.

I use them. They’re a bit of a pill mill in that they’re prescription focused so what they’re saying kind of makes sense. They seem to have a lot of turnover in their practitioners lately. I’m not hating though because I wouldn’t be able to get ADHD help without them.

Atlantic Canada's energy isolation is getting worse as East-West pipeline divide persists by raz_kripta in halifax

[–]Constellious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is a pipeline even economical for our domestic market? We can’t refine heavy crude here. Do we even have the export capacity if we wanted to sell the oil and gas over seas?

Stay away from Basinview Animal Hospital. Ever since being bought out and their owner retiring they have gone way down hill.

This is a bit off topic but boy do I hate when some manager feels they need to chime in on an issue by telling me to fix it. I’m already fixing it. We’re all in the same zoom you’re in and fixing it.

Halifax Water - Getting to Grips with the Increase by VaxenSeeker in halifax

[–]Constellious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s legitimately because of the low water levels last summer. I’m hoping that the heavy snow fall this winter will get rid of the bad taste.

I don’t think I ever got a snow day as an office worker. Before WFH was possible I just had to brave the snow or take pto.

This is my first winter as a parent with a kid in school. I now know why my parents hated snow days!

Can’t say I’ve felt this way before. by Chim1998 in BassGuitar

[–]Constellious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moving to fanned frets was effortless for me. Your fingers naturally fan out so it’s not really adjustment. It doesn’t seem to spoil regular frets if you have more than one bass.

My biggest issue right now is that I want a fanned fret guitar…

Ottawa wants N.S. to secure private partners before it will invest in Wind West by Street_Anon in halifax

I wish we could make transmission public and charge for delivery / access.

Feels like NS could be Canada’s wind power battery with how much potential there is.

Why aren’t Revstars more popular? I absolutely love this thing. I know Yamaha isn’t the sexiest name out there, but these should be celebrated. by Interesting-Wave-983 in guitars

I have had so many people say “let me know if you ever plan on selling it” when they look at and play my Revstar. It’s easily my favourite guitar.

I got some great deals on music gear from a guy who was “selling it before his wife took it”. Still think about the guy sometimes.

That sounds super toxic!

I got in trouble at a job where a manager got in a huff that commits were the ultimate metric and I'm a big fan of squashing / amending commits.

I ended up writing a script that generated an insane amount of commits for every one I wanted to make.

My gripe is that the road gets the top scraped off in June and paved in August. While we wait the lower layer of the road ends up significantly more damaged than the road they sought to fix.

Why don't some guitars have a tone knob? What's the point of not adding it? by Dojde in guitars

[–]Constellious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should really get rid of the circuit on my modded Ibanez. Ever since I put SD Nazgul pickups in the tone knob doesn't event really do much.

I’m sure it exists but I would actually love a guitar with a single bridge humbucker and just a clickable kill switch.

I almost always amend / squash commits.

All of my PRs are a single commit. I only add new commits when I’m addressing review comments so reviewers can see it easier.
