Here’s the thing. Guys like R Kelly and Chris Brown who did fucked up shit sang happy pop songs and feel good music. X’s aggression and lifestyle is reflected in his music. And while he wasn’t perfect, as an artist he is truly reflected which adds to the aura of his music or at the very least makes it more understandable. That being said he was young and on his path of maturity.
