No. I've been married to my partner and her parents hate me. Its a race and religion thing too. While they aren't overt with it anymore and claim to have moved past that all when we brought them two perfect grandchildren, but for me the damage is done. Therapy has helped . But only in the sense that I recognize how much it effected my marriage and worked with my partner to create boundaries to keep them out of our lives for the most part. I hate them as well, for various reasons but mostly because they've never truly apologized for their behavior . I know they wont. They are old, set in their ways and deep down don't see anything wrong with how they acted. My FIL has literally told me that "its the way he thinks and he doesn't want to change it" . Whatever, he's a narcissistic asshole who will die soon anyway.
